NanoBanana 2 just made your static ad agency obsolete. And I just open sourced the entire tool. Drop your product page URL. It pulls your logos, product images, fonts, colors, and brand voice automatically. Builds a full brand guide for you. Then generates ad creatives at scale using nearly 4,000 high-performing ad templates across 8 niches. It dynamically matches the best templates to your brand and brief. Here's what makes it different: → Instant resizing Get any ad in 1x1, 4x5, 9x16 with one click. No regeneration. No broken text. → Highlight-to-edit See an issue? Highlight the area and tell it what to fix. → Multiple brand profiles Run different brands or segments from one tool. → Auto persona building from real customer reviews → Multiple QC loops on briefs and final assets Catches AI-isms before you do. → Upload your own templates or use ours Runs locally. Just needs your Claude and Google API keys. This is the lite version of what we use internally. You get the full finished tool AND the open source code to make it your own. Creatives still design the system, this handles iteration and scale. Want a copy to download? 1. Like this post 2. Comment "AI" Will DM you the tool along with a tutorial shortly after.

This post about bench press safety escaped containment and got a lot of people commenting in disagreement that safeties/spotter arms would've saved him. And in truth, my language below was a little too absolute: safeties MIGHT have saved his life (though even if so, would not have prevented all damage), but it's far from certain that they would have, so I stand by the overall sentiment. I will explain in detail below. The spotter arms have to be set below the top of your arched chest or else they’ll interfere with every rep - you'll clang the bar on the safeties, which not only severely interrupts proper technique and performance, but can also be potentially injurious in its own right as the clanging against the safeties takes you out of the rhythm of the rep and leads to uneven and chaotic force application demands mid-rep. The safeties can’t be set a mere milimeter or even a half inch below the chest: both because most racks have 2-3 inch hole spacings that don't allow such finely calibrated setting, but even if they do - also because as a gross movement pattern, not a fine movement pattern, you can’t control the movement of the bar precisely and accurately enough not to clang the safeties if they’re so close to your chest. Human beings performing gross movement patterns simply lack such fine control: on heavy sets, the bar might be slightly uneven on one side, you might lose a touch of your arch over the course of the set, etc... and end up clanging the safeties anyway, if they're set so close to the top of your arched chest. These issues are not form errors that can be prevented with proper training, but are inherent limitations in the human capability to control gross motor pattern movements at a heavy weight. Thus, the safeties have to be far enough below your chest in order to not interfere with the set itself, such that they can’t possibly catch the bar before it hits your chest in the case of a sudden catastrophic drop. The proper placement for the safeties is far enough below your chest so as not to interfere with the normal execution of the set and so the bar never touches the safeties at all during the set, even with the inherent human limitations of gross motor pattern control. But high enough such tha - if you find yourself unable to successfully press the bar to lockout - you can bring the bar under control back down to your chest, exhale and drop your arch, and the bar will ideally now rest on the safeties instead of your chest and you can crawl and slither out from under it. Worst case, you can roll the bar slightly upwards and the safeties will soon take it, well before it would lie on your neck. I have an example of using the safeties this way in the video below, with 485 lbs. The ability to set this position with precision and accuracy depends on the equipment you're using: Some racks/benches have 1 inch spacings for this purpose, which is excellent and allows greater precision in safety placement, but most common racks have 2-3 inches between holes and thus people must often have the safeties a little lower than they'd ideally be. The main point is the proper use and purpose of safeties in the bench press is not really to catch a very rare catastrophic sudden drop onto your chest, but to allow you to survive the much more common situation of a normal failed rep. Could they theoretically save your life in such a situation where you drop it? Yes, they might. They won't stop the bar before it hits your chest but they might reduce the impact by stopping the bar from going further down and reducing the impact. This may or may not save your life in this rare catastrophic drop situation - it's good to have them there, set up anyway, but it's far from a sure bet. The most important things you can do are to learn and practice good technique, which involves stiff wrists in a very slightly bent back position, and thumbs around the barbell - NO SUICIDE GRIP. The safeties won't catch the bar and stop it from hitting your chest, so it's best to reduce the chances of dropping the bar on your chest from almost zero to even closer to almost zero. I've been bench pressing regularly for well over 20 years, always put my thumbs around the bar, and have never dropped it on myself. Nor has anyone I have coached to the best of my memory, over tens of thousands of sets and hundreds of thousands of reps. I have used safeties to successfully avoid getting trapped under the bar after a failed rep. In the video below, I tweaked my pec while pushing through a rep at 485 and had to set the bar on the pins to avoid getting trapped under it. This kind of situation is the primary use for the safeties. It's good to have them set up regardless - they might indeed save you if you somehow still manage to drop the bar, but they also very well might not.

Is your toddler suddenly throwing (or dropping) everything they get their hands on? Food, toys… you name it. You’re not alone. This week I’ve been introducing play schemas, 9 common patterns that can help to demystify your toddler’s seemingly random behaviors. And you guessed it: this is one. We call it the trajectory schema. If you take nothing else away from this post, let it be this: your little one doesn’t throw things because they are misbehaving or “bad.” Babies throw things because they are babies. And they are learning as they do so. Learning about cause and effect. Learning about gravity. Learning what (and practicing something new) they can do with their bodies. Learning hand-eye coordination. It’s a completely normal part of development. And the fascination won’t last forever. The real question is, how do you manage it? First, be proactive. Expect that anything your little one handles might reasonably be thrown or dropped. So choose wisely, avoiding items that are valuable or might pose a danger to them or others if they suddenly took flight. Second, depending on the age of your child, begin introducing some natural consequences. Put the toy/object away temporarily after it is thrown (if throwing it is dangerous or inappropriate). And involve your child in the subsequent clean-up. You can also redirect. Explain which things are and are not for throwing. Model the correct use of these objects. Finally, lean into it. Recognizing that young children are drawn to throwing, provide items that are safe and acceptable to throw. Soft toys. Socks. Balls. And look for opportunities and settings for your little one to explore this urge safely and appropriately. How did you manage your toddler’s throwing phase? Welcome your tips and tricks! This sweet little throwing machine was posted to TT by kristinnicole122.

How do you monitor wildlife in places where infrastructure is limited? Some of the world's most valuable biodiversity data comes from remote, hard-to-reach locations, where researchers can't rely on traditional connectivity or computing. This is what the Open Science Conservation Fund is working to solve with Trapper, an open source platform that helps researchers analyze camera trap data closer to where it's collected. This demo, running on Ubuntu and Canonical Kubernetes, uses NextComputing’s fly-away kit - a portable edge computing system that can be carried into remote locations and deployed wherever it's needed, making it easier to turn observations into knowledge that the global scientific community can build on. #OpenSource #Ubuntu #Kubernetes

OpenAI DOTS can take one idea from market research to first outreach and results while you SLEEP > Most people will open it, type one prompt and close the tab. That is the most EXPENSIVE way to use it. Here is the better way, you hand one dot an opportunity and it becomes the orchestrator. It splits the job between five specialists. One validates demand, one sets the offer and pricing, one builds the content, one handles distribution and outreach, and one tracks what worked. Each of them has its own cloud computer and its own browser. They log into your tools once and stay signed in, so your laptop can stay CLOSED. Reading, researching and drafting happen on their own. Anything that sends a message, spends money or overwrites a file stops and waits for your OK. You get a ping in Slack, tap approve, and the work picks back up. You can also set a clock, a morning routine pulls from your apps and drops one brief in Slack before you open your eyes. One objective in, a whole team working on it overnight. Pest Control “secret” for those small annoying flies that bug you while watching tv (feel free to repost since we’re moving into bug season in many areas): As we move into late spring/early summer months in US, many people like to leave doors open. Sometimes you’ll get an influx of small flies. There are 3 main species of flies that buzz around your head while sitting on the couch. The fruit fly, the phorid fly and the fungus gnat. If you see a small fly just “sitting” on your wall or a few small flies hanging out on the wall near your garbage can, it could be the fruit fly. I won’t go into boring details of how to tell various species apart, but will share one trick that can help reduce their population. First, keep your doors shut as much as possible. They gain entry usually that way, then find a source to breed in. To help reduce the breeding adults, 1) Grab a clear bowl or glass and place some red wine (or a few pieces of banana) in the glass. 2) Put some clear Saran Wrap or cling wrap on top fairly tight. 3) Next grab a pencil or pen and poke 4-6 holes in the wrap. This will allow the aroma of the fruit or wine to be strong as it comes out of the glass and will attract the flies 4) The flies will be immediately attracted to the bowl/cup and make their way into the holes you poked. Once in, they’ll drink the wine, or feed on the bananas and can’t get out. I prefer wine since they get drunk and drown. Bananas won’t kill them. Wine will. 5) Discard every 7 days and repeat. The best approach is to find the source of their breeding. Garbage disposal? (Bleach doesn’t work by the way) Garbage can? Debris under refrigerator? Also, re the fungus gnat species. This will not work. They feed on fungus, generally from overwatered potted plants inside or doors left open near extremely damp exterior area. One other method that is highly effective are the small plug in light traps. A combination of the above along with a plug in light trap will keep most fly issues at bay.

Turn any PDF, image, DOCX, or PPTX into clean Markdown! Production workloads contain millions of pages, mixed formats, inconsistent layouts, low-quality scans, and documents written in dozens of languages. Datalab Marker v2 (open-source with 40k stars) handles that workload at scale through one open-source document parsing pipeline. It recovers: - Reading order - Complex equations - Images and captions - Tables and nested tables - Text from scanned pages - Headings and page structure It can return Markdown, JSON, or HTML for RAG pipelines, search indexes, data extraction systems, document agents, and archive migrations. Marker v2 runs at up to 23.7 pages per second on a single B200 GPU and supports more than 90 languages. GitHub repo: (don’t forget to star it ⭐) I recently used Datalab to build an agent that scans an identity document, extracts the required fields, and fills a tax form automatically. The article covers the full workflow, including document parsing, structured extraction, field mapping, and form completion. Read it below.

Stop manually making flowcharts. Try this GitHub skill with Claude Code. I found an open-source tool that turns a plain description of a software system into a clean, interactive diagram. It's called Archify, and it has more than 66,000 stars on GitHub. You add it as a skill to an AI coding agent like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or OpenCode. Then you describe the system in the chat in one line. Archify turns that line into a single HTML file you can open, click through, and send to anyone. If you point your agent at an existing codebase, it reads the code and Archify maps how the pieces connect. I liked five things about it. 1. It makes five kinds of diagrams, including system maps and step-by-step workflows. 2. You can click any piece and trace what connects to it. 3. It checks the layout before it hands the diagram over, so arrows don't pile up and labels don't overlap. 4. It has dark and light themes and exports to PNG, SVG, or a short video. 5. You keep editing in plain chat, with requests like "add Redis" or "highlight the rollback path." You don't need a codebase to use it. A description in the chat is enough.

BREAKING: The IRGC Aerospace Force has just launched three Khorramshahr-3 or 4 ballistic missiles from its Al-Qadir ballistic missile base in Yazd, central Iran, toward a U.S. military base somewhere in Jordan. These ballistic missiles are equipped with cluster munitions and can present a particularly difficult interception challenge for the U.S. Army’s Patriot PAC-3 air-defense systems. Their cluster-munition payloads can disperse submunitions across a wide area, potentially damaging multiple aircraft parked in the open on the aprons and ramps of an air base. However, I doubt that many valuable aircraft remain at the targeted base, as the U.S. military has most likely evacuated or dispersed them in anticipation of further Iranian ballistic-missile attacks.

Midjourney sref + Sora 2 Pro is the sauce. With one Midjourney style image, you can give a specific style for your entire project. I created two different 12-second clips and edited them together. Some details aren’t fully consistent, like the iPod or AirPods because the clips were made separately from a single image (Character in a specific style). It could be fixed in post-production, but that would take more time, and this was more of an experimental test. It would be great to add the actual product image with the current one to maintain product consistency. I feel like if there were a way to add 2–4 images into this workflow, it could open up a lot more possibilities and consistency. With an API, it could be possible. Or let’s see what Veo 3.1 has to offer.

My favorite bodyweight workout when I can't make it to the gym... Be sure to save this workout and give it a try! Bodyweight workouts can be done anywhere and anytime They’re perfect for when you truly have no time to get to the gym as they can be done at home, in a hotel, or outside This is a 3 round circuit that can be done in under 15 minutes A circuit is when you do all exercises back to back with no rest until the last exercise 1. 5 Pull-Ups 2. 10 Dips 3. 15 Air Squats 4. 20 Crunches 5. 25 Push-Ups Rest 30-90 seconds Repeat 3 rounds No pull-up bar? Find a heavy furniture piece like a desk and do an inverted row No dip bars? Use some chairs and do bench dips Get creative! Feel free to adjust sets/reps/rest time based off your experience level There is no right or wrong set/rep scheme with this The key is just getting that heart rate up and moving! Doing something is ALWAYS better than nothing

Fine-tune DeepSeek-OCR on your own language! (100% local) DeepSeek-OCR is a 3B-parameter vision model that achieves 97% precision while using 10× fewer vision tokens than text-based LLMs. It handles tables, papers, and handwriting without killing your GPU or budget. Why it matters: Most vision models treat documents as massive sequences of tokens, making long-context processing expensive and slow. DeepSeek-OCR uses context optical compression to convert 2D layouts into vision tokens, enabling efficient processing of complex documents. The best part? You can easily fine-tune it for your specific use case on a single GPU. I used Unsloth to run this experiment on Persian text and saw an 88.26% improvement in character error rate. ↳ Base model: 149% character error rate (CER) ↳ Fine-tuned model: 60% CER (57% more accurate) ↳ Training time: 60 steps on a single GPU Persian was just the test case. You can swap in your own dataset for any language, document type, or specific domain you're working with. I've shared the complete guide in the next tweet - all the code, notebooks, and environment setup ready to run with a single click. Everything is 100% open-source!

Introducing BlitzClean ! A free, open-source RAM monitor + disk cleaner for Mac I built it based on 3 things: - I kept running out of storage - I never knew what was eating my RAM - Memory Clean 2 stopped working for me on the macOS 27 beta (Golden Gate) What it does: - CPU, RAM and free disk in the menu bar - Ranks apps + AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) by RAM, so you can pause or quit the ones you forgot about - Finds what fills your disk - Cleans caches, node_modules, simulators, Docker and old worktrees (you review everything first) MIT, runs 100% locally Made the video with Opus 5.5 medium, what do you think ?

🚨SCORING RULES ALERT🚨 This is from today's Detroit Tigers at New York Mets game. Here, with Workman on second, Zach McKinstry hits a fly to left that lands, and Workman is thrown out 7-5 at third base. This was ruled a single, and the question has been asked as to why. First, this is the correct scoring, as this is a single. If this were a ground ball to short, and the runner is out 6-5 at third on a ball that would have otherwise been a hit, this would have been a fielder's choice, and the difference is in the wording on rule 9.05(b)(3), which says that you do not score a hit when a: (3) pitcher, the catcher or any infielder handles a batted ball and puts out a preceding runner who is attempting to advance one base or to return to his original base, or would have put out such runner with ordinary effort except for a fielding error. The Official Scorer shall charge the batter with a time at bat but no hit; The key is in the McKinstry play, the ball is handled by an outfielder, and not the pitcher, catcher, or any infielder. Another one of those fun weird scoring rules that is great to have in your back pocket for when it comes up.
