A DEX becomes a lot more interesting to me when the question is not only: “What can I trade here?” But also: “Can I actually contribute liquidity here?” That is one part of RivrDEX I think deserves more attention. RivrDEX is permissionless, so you are not limited to simply using the liquidity that is already available. You can add liquidity to a pool, receive LP tokens, and earn a share of the trading fees. It changes the way I look at a DEX. You are not just a trader using someone else’s liquidity. You can also become part of the liquidity behind the market. For smaller markets especially, having an open way to provide liquidity without going through a centralized platform feels pretty important. Trade with the liquidity that is there. Or help build it. That is a much more interesting idea to me.

Uniswap V4 hooks have solved the inefficient liquidity problem, and just like PumpFun revolutionized the bonding curve, hooks will revolutionize the underlying liquidity. In honor of $HOOKR hitting ATH’s, I decided to make another video explaining the importance of Hooks. Liquidity pools have failed at maximizing the value of the underlying dollar, that will change soon. Seeing some really innovative hooks beginning to get spun up: - leverage liquidity hook: enable borrowing, and leverage on all liquid liquidity Pools - Arbitrage hooks: pre-define slippage, and block malicious arbitrage bots by removing the arbitrage within the same block as the TX. These fees can go back towards strengthening liquidity Pools. - Idle dollar hooks: while liquidity pool said idle, the opportunity cost of yield remains, with this hook, you can now earn ~3-4% APY when the LP’s are sitting idle Uniswap V4 hooks are still so new, but within 3 to 6 months, every liquid pool will have one or multiple hooks on top of it, that I am confident about. Make sure you understand how they work before you miss the boat.

Using a Uniswap hook, he completely blocked anyone else from adding LP. Then, he launched a bot to wash trade the pool. Whenever his own bot makes a swap and pays $1,000 in pool fees, that entire $1,000 goes right back into his LP position. Driving volume inside his own pool is literally just moving money from his left pocket to his right pocket. Meanwhile, the pool APR sits at 700%, but you can’t deposit your funds to earn it. You buy trUSD with USDC in one pool and move between strUSD and trUSD in the other, which lets you enter and exit a yield position at market price rather than waiting out the 7-day cooldown. So a pool pays a lower rate than holding strUSD, and the trade is some yield for more Cores. Curve incentives are on the way, with gauge weight voted in for the next epoch.
