Is the end goal for Identity to be completely license free?

Fantastic! This was one of my wish list features for the new UNAS 8. What the UniFi UNAS Pro 8 could be – if Ubiquiti listens: The next generation of UNAS has serious potential. But to truly empower home lab enthusiasts and prosumers, it needs more than just storage. Imagine a device with: – NVMe SSD support – Advanced SMB/NFS share controls – Group-based user permissions without LDAP – Hourly snapshots & more backup flexibility – Native Protect support (no UNVR needed!) – Lightweight VMs or Docker support – Storage pools with multiple RAID levels & volumes With these features, the UNAS Pro 8 could become a real Synology competitor—bridging simplicity and capability in one box.

Once S3 and Backblaze support are live I will be happy. Great job Ubiquiti! 🙂

When will it be available? I see it was released on the 1st, but no notification in the interface for an update. Patiently waiting with anticipation.
