Washed the iPhone 17 Pro Max USB-C port with fresh water to flush out salt residue. Hopefully this fixes the minor charging disconnect issue. I had submerged the iPhone 17 Pro Max in seawater to capture aquatic life and later forced Emergency Override for charging after it kept showing a warning even after 30 hours. After that, PD charging stopped working, while MagSafe and USB-C power bank charging worked fine. After 2–3 days, PD charging started working again, but it still disconnects occasionally and needs to be reinserted. Let’s see if flushing out the salt residue fixes it.

Now when I plug in the charger and turn on the switch at the same time, it shows charging a bit late compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. Today I also noticed it does not charge at all with a 25W charger, but it works with 45W and 65W chargers. Should I go to the Apple Store and replace the charging port, or just use the chargers that work? Will this problem get worse over time?

🚨NEW EASTER EGG🚨 There has been a fridge bugging me and my friends on dual front for weeks because we discovered a drone hole in it but we couldn't get a drone in there. We tried for hours. Went all around the building and it wouldn't work. EVERY update on the TS we ran back to this damn fridge to see if we could see if anything had changed. Nope. Even on release.. nope. WELL TODAY IT DID AND IT IS THE BESY EASTER EGG 😭🤝🏻 This is up there with Montagne Deux 🧡

After almost 6months, I finally got SuiPlay!!! Crazy experience so far: -Late shipping -Short battery life (couldn’t even finish updating with 35% battery life) -Device is super hot it could cook beans -ROI for me is not worth it But for the support and fun of it all, I have a Suiplay. However, I won’t fail to commend the packaging, it’s top notch + the design, for me it’s sleek, a bit heavy. The holding experience for me is good! Also customer services was good regarding communication just a lil work on response time🫂. Don’t know how the software will play out but anyhow, till I charge it again. When $PLAY btw?!👀👀 Hopefully, it’s all worth it with the next product device maybe #SuiplayX02.

update: i wanted to see if it was a one time thing it wasn't cause it crashed right when i did a thunder drop in infamous 2 💀 ordered thermal paste which is coming later today, will see if that helps once i deep clean it but if it not my ps3 might be cooked😭

The past year has seen me have a renaissance, in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.

Folks have asked me for a side by side comparison the Apple eMate 300 and the AlohaSmart 3000. Well you can see they were conceived by some of the same team at Apple. They are remarkably alike. In public I get a lot of “in the know” folks ask if that is the eMate. The build quality is better of course in the eMate. But it is also 2.5 time heaver and it is hard on my hacked battery. I do carry around the eMate and use it regularly but it is mostly in my Library for contemporaneous notes. The AlphaSmart 3000 I carry a lot. Mostly in the woods. It is lighter, only 3 AA batteries and easier screen in almost all settings. The 3000 has a slightly bigger keyboard but slightly worse travel. The AlphaSmart Neo2 has a better keyboard than both. So here is the comparison…

Had a few people ask if this is something you can actually do full time and quit your 9-5… I love that question—because I did. I quit my job and never looked back with OddsJam.com It’s possible if you want it. But like anything, it takes discipline, consistency, and hard work. This world doesn’t reward the lazy. Marcus Aurelius said it best: “You love your bed? Was it for this you were born — to feel nice and warm under the covers?” Get up. Get after it. It’s possible if you want it bad enough. I’d love to lay in bed all day too… but I’ve got work to do. And atleast it’s work I enjoy doing and it’s a room over from my bed so I’m definitely not complaining 😂

Hot Take: The New Camera app on iOS 26 is GREAT i initially hated it when i first saw it on the keynote, but now that i've used it, I'm loving it It’s familiar while being really simple I've always felt that the Camera app on iOS has gotten really complex and convoluted in these last few years, and the new one fixes that, while still being as nuanced as the old app if you configure it the way you want it to behave takes some time to get used to, but this is great, it really does simplify the whole Ul but, this could've been the perfect time for Apple to introduce Manual controls as an Option in the Native app, even after all this redesign, Apple is still stubborn on not adding Manual Controls it's 2025 Apple,if you're gonna let users shoot LOG Video from the Native App, let us have Manual Controls as an option in the Native App, instead of downloading third party apps👏 i wonder how people shoot LOG Videos without Manual Controls💀

My wife bought a brand new iPhone at the Apple store located at Jakande, Lekki Phase 1,Lagos last September. We decided to trade it in for a new one today at the Apple Store located at Westfield Stratford City Arcade (London) a few minutes ago Only God did not let them call the police on us The attendant scanned the IPhone and declared that it had been reported as stolen. Stolen from where? It was not a used iPhone It was new, purchased from an approved Apple Store and we have all the receipts intact The attendant saw our indignation and went ahead to consult with her superiors They scanned again and they declared that it was reported “missing”. They adjusted their language from stolen to missing and told us it has zero swap value. I was not shocked at all even though I should be. Nigerians like cutting corners for unhealthy gains and they always believe this is good business for them as long as they were able to make a buck. Somehow we were able to walk out of that Apple Store without any drama but I remember telling my wife that we would have had a lot of explaining to do if they had a policy that required that they must report such incidents to the police. Nigerian business people must try to do better than this There is something called integrity, it has a higher value than the dirty gains they think they are getting by playing dirty. I have always insisted on buying things in Nigeria because it helps the economy but I can see the reason many prefer to shop abroad. We must do better than this as a people. -GSW-
