iOS 26.4 is officially a disaster... 💀 I’ve had my iPhone 17 Pro Max in a bootloop all night until the battery completely died. Even after a full discharge, a hard reset did absolutely nothing. I even tried plugging it into iTunes to see if I could bring it... show more

Washed the iPhone 17 Pro Max USB-C port with fresh water to flush out salt residue. Hopefully this fixes the minor charging disconnect issue. I had submerged the iPhone 17 Pro Max in seawater to capture aquatic life and later forced Emergency Override for charging after it kept showing a warning even after 30 hours. After that, PD charging stopped working, while MagSafe and USB-C power bank charging worked fine. After 2–3 days, PD charging started working again, but it still disconnects occasionally and needs to be reinserted. Let’s see if flushing out the salt residue fixes it.

I think seawater did something… strange to my iPhone 17 Pro Max charging port. Now when I plug in the charger and turn on the switch at the same time, it shows charging a bit late compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. Today I also noticed it does not charge at all with a 25W charger, but it works with 45W and 65W chargers. Should I go to the Apple Store and replace the charging port, or just use the chargers that work? Will this problem get worse over time?

Confession time: I thought the Jackson 5 sang this song my whole life… until today. It’s a sad song, but I was even sadder to learn they never actually sang it. I double-checked, hoping for a hidden cover… but nothing. Do you know the artist behind it?

Mahomes on this 3rd down incompletion from Week 1 "I tried to force the ball into Xavier; that is my first read, and there was a chance I could get it in there, but if I just see the coverage and reset back, Tyquan kind of wins on the backside route.”

🤝When you make a promise to Salvador Pérez — you keep it. Even if it is terrifying. This is the exact moment relief hit when my first ever interview in Spanish ended ✅ A month ago I promised Perez I’d do our next interview in Spanish, after I told him I was learning Spanish. It was as terrifying as it sounds but Perez could not have been more kind & helpful. Tune into the Apple TV pregame show at 7ET to watch!

This guy started a war in Europe that killed well over a million people. It’s hard to spiritually even think through what that means. The only conclusion I can come to is that the West has degenerated to a point where it is completely uncivilised. 🇬🇧

🚨NEW EASTER EGG🚨 There has been a fridge bugging me and my friends on dual front for weeks because we discovered a drone hole in it but we couldn't get a drone in there. We tried for hours. Went all around the building and it wouldn't work. EVERY update on the TS we ran back to this damn fridge to see if we could see if anything had changed. Nope. Even on release.. nope. WELL TODAY IT DID AND IT IS THE BESY EASTER EGG 😭🤝🏻 This is up there with Montagne Deux 🧡

I was basically interrogated about my sex life to qualify for baptism in Assemblies of God. I was a MINOR and was told that if I wasn’t baptized, I would not go into higher institution. After 3 MONTHS of baptism classes, we had to appear before elders for a baptismal interview. If you failed, you would not be baptized. They asked if I had started having sex, if I had a boyfriend, if I watched porn and if I had ever stolen. They even asked for my phone so they could go through it. I had left mine at home charging. The disappointment on their faces when I said this was something else. A married woman was asked if she had cheated on her husband, how many boyfriends she had before marriage and if she had visited a native doctor. We had a manual. Guess what they barely asked about? The manual. Even as a child, I was irritated. Looking back, I still wonder: what exactly did my sex life have to do with baptism? Pentecostal churches should do better.

After almost 6months, I finally got SuiPlay!!! Crazy experience so far: -Late shipping -Short battery life (couldn’t even finish updating with 35% battery life) -Device is super hot it could cook beans -ROI for me is not worth it But for the support and fun of it all, I have a Suiplay. However, I won’t fail to commend the packaging, it’s top notch + the design, for me it’s sleek, a bit heavy. The holding experience for me is good! Also customer services was good regarding communication just a lil work on response time🫂. Don’t know how the software will play out but anyhow, till I charge it again. When $PLAY btw?!👀👀 Hopefully, it’s all worth it with the next product device maybe #SuiplayX02.

After an amazing 4+ years at Apple, I’m happy to say I've recently made the switch and transitioned my side project into my new primary focus, now dedicating all my energy to Jitter 💫 I’m infinitely thankful for all the exceptionally talented people I met along the way, and for the once-in-a-lifetime projects I was involved in, including major product launches for AirPods and AirPods Max, Apple TV4K and Apple Vision Pro.

Last year, I directed a documentary on the eastern front in Ukraine. It uncovered Russia’s war crimes and won 12 awards. It’s now on Apple TV. The most proud I’ve ever been in my life and I’m so grateful I could document what is happening here and for it to be shown on a mainstream platform. Check out Under Deadly Skies if you get some time 🫡🇺🇦

Apple put a nano-texture layer on the iPhone Duo, but I don’t think it was the right move. Yes, it’s effective for hiding the crease. But as someone who’s used several folding phones, I know that crease is NOT as big an issue as people make it to be. It’s hardly noticeable once you use your fold for more than a few days. However, the lack of contrast is a much bigger dealbreaker on nano-texture/matte displays. I don’t like matte screens at all. To the point I’d even trade my monitor’s matte screen for a glossy one, even tho it would mean dramatically more reflections. I’d take the reflections over the lack of contrast. A matte screen is like turning your OLED into an IPS for no reason.

A few hours ago, I came across this dog video, I don’t even know if it’s real or AI, but ever since I watched it, I haven’t been able to stop my tears 😭💔 I’m a dog lover… and whether it’s real or not, the pain still reaches my heart. Seeing their suffering makes it hard to breathe Sometimes even a short video can awaken a deep ache inside you… and suddenly, your heart just goes silent 🐾🥺

I found an old screen recording from my iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 17 Decided to compare the animations to my iPhone 17 with iOS 27, and I have so many thoughts 😭 Overall, iOS 17 is INFINITELY smoother than iOS 27, purely due to its animation speed. Opening and closing apps is slow and elegant, accompanied by a beautiful wallpaper zoom. 27 is rough, fast, and lacks fluidity. For some reason, they got rid of the wallpaper zoom when opening/closing apps, making everything feel flat. All of that is paired with the atrocious performance of the iOS screen recorder that started with iOS 18 and still hasn’t been fixed. Notice how there are zero jitters on iOS 17, but both jitters and artifact on 27. This is not a hate post. I just wanted to share my thoughts. And no, this isn’t the problem of a “beta”. Stable iOS 26 has the exact same issues. Thanks 💔

The past year has seen me have a renaissance, in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.

Folks have asked me for a side by side comparison the Apple eMate 300 and the AlohaSmart 3000. Well you can see they were conceived by some of the same team at Apple. They are remarkably alike. In public I get a lot of “in the know” folks ask if that is the eMate. The build quality is better of course in the eMate. But it is also 2.5 time heaver and it is hard on my hacked battery. I do carry around the eMate and use it regularly but it is mostly in my Library for contemporaneous notes. The AlphaSmart 3000 I carry a lot. Mostly in the woods. It is lighter, only 3 AA batteries and easier screen in almost all settings. The 3000 has a slightly bigger keyboard but slightly worse travel. The AlphaSmart Neo2 has a better keyboard than both. So here is the comparison…
