I think Apple did took some inspirations but added their own sauce to add light bending behind glass. Not sure how its gonna impact battery life in long term though

Yes this reveal effect was present long back in 2019 in Windows 10

Windows is evolving, but BACKWARDS! From 11 > 10 > 8.1 > 7

That's the Reveal Effect, which is very different from Liquid Glass. The final implementations in Windows Vista, 7, and 10 were nowhere near Liquid Glass in beta.
