iPhone Duo 🤝 Flutter 🤝 Liquid Glass The toolbar stays exactly where it should be, whether the phone is open or folded. I’ll be shipping the update very soon. What do you think? :) #Flutter #FlutterDev #iPhoneDuo

we're getting real-close to shipping liquid glass in cupertino_ui, are you using a packag efor liquid glass here?

Yes, it's my own package, adaptive_platform_ui. I shipped the first version about 11 months ago. It doesn't redraw Liquid Glass: on iOS 26+ it embeds the real native UIKit controls in the Flutter app via platform views, and falls back to Cupertino and Material elsewhere

ah gotcha - using platform views - makes sense! thanks for sharing! We are going down the path of actually drawing Liquid Glass components on the canvas and are working with the package owner of liquid_glass_widgets to upstream their work to cupertino_ui. Are you interested in contributing perhaps?

That's awesome, it really means a lot to me :) I'm pretty swamped with work these days, but I'd love to help as much as I can. Is there a channel or tracking issue I can follow?

I will find out more information when I'm back in the office next week - I've been away for a bit so I am sure things are in motion now! No pressure at all - just thought I should ask!

Thanks so much for the invitation, it genuinely made my day :) No rush at all, looking forward to hearing more next week

Thank YOU! Your packages are awesome - really appreciate your contributions to the Flutter community!

That means a lot coming from you, thank you! 🫠 💙

Except for the list of the end of the video, that is mounted on the side bar, both open and closed, fine. Obviously you have to work on it, even if the app is native. Great work!

Good catch, thanks! Content on pages without a SafeArea was running under the side bar. Fixed: the scaffold now keeps the page body out of that trailing strip, like UIKit does. It ships in 1.0.0.

Can’t wait to test on my apps

:)

How's it going? I think you look great! :) @FlutterDev 🫠

The tab bar is supposed to be on the side, and that is why you use native SwiftUI.

adaptive_platform_ui 1.0.1 is out 🎉

Nice work 🫡 And i have a question about liquid glass, to include it in your app you need to adapt it for your whole app i mean something like "LiquidGlassApp" then using glass widgets, or supported just like there is a glass container and tou do whatever you want like container

Thanks! 🫡 No wrapper needed, widgets work one by one in any MaterialApp. On iOS 26+ they are the real native controls, so the glass is Apple's own. No generic glass container yet, just AdaptiveBlurView for native blur.

Thank you so much, this gonna be so good, because people or "designers" don't understand the point of glass effect and they are using it all around the components in their designs which make me wondering how it's gonna be in flutter

Congratulations 👏🎊💯

Hey you can't even buy one of those yet! 😉

wrong tab bar

yeah. i keep underestimating how long the second half takes

Is that a joke?

its that simulator? support android studio? i still wait for xcode 27.1 version for iphone duo simulator

God damn, I launched Claude to build something similar but I might use yours instead! Is it possible to configure the fallback components with overrides (like a custom Material / Cupertino widgets if not on iOS 26) ? Does it builds for all platforms flutter supports ?

Thanks! :) App bar and bottom bar take custom fallback widgets, the rest doesn't yet (good idea though). Supported: iOS + Android. Other platforms fall back to Material, untested.

I might be able to contribute someday 😊 How does it work for the Duo ? Are you leveraging the SwiftUI auto layout features or it’s just components and layout is still handled by flutter?

@berkaypng i'd bet on the swiftui auto layout, it handles the nesting pretty well

@berkaypng Looks pretty good though, well done !
