Overnight, Iran launched at least 10 ballistic missiles and several Shahed-131/136 drones towards the U.S. Ali Al Salem Airbase in Kuwait and the U.S. Navy 5th Fleet Base in Manama, Bahrain. Shipping monitor TankerTrackers has rejected a video aired by Iran’s state television claiming vessels had stopped in the Strait of Hormuz thanks to Iran’s threats, saying the ship wad owned by Iran. The state TV said two Iranian journalists had reached the middle of the strait and filmed ships turning off their engines while awaiting clearance. TankerTrackers said the vessel shown was in fact the empty Iranian tanker NAVARZ, owned by the National Iranian Tanker Company, and not operating in the Strait. According to the firm, the tanker was stationary in Iranian waters south of Hormuz Island in Iran’s Hormozgan province and has remained there since March 13, 2025.
