Katz revealed that Israel has prepared an independent operation codenamed "Blue and White" - a 100% Israeli mission conducted without any foreign assistance. Israel’s long-standing security doctrine stresses its right to act unilaterally whenever its survival is threatened. Crucially, officials say they do not need to wait for an Iranian attack—clear intelligence that Tehran has decided to strike could be enough to trigger preemptive action. Haaretz הארץ

💢 According to the Associated Press, which cited two officials familiar with U.S. intelligence, Russia has provided Iran with information that could help Tehran target U.S. warships, aircraft, and other American military assets in the region. ➤ The officials said U.S. intelligence has not found evidence that Moscow is directing Iranian operations, but the intelligence sharing is described as the first indication Russia may be getting involved in the U.S.–Israel war on Iran. ➤ Asked by NBC News whether Russia and China were helping Iran in the war, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said yesterday “they have always helped us,” while declining to clarify whether that meant active wartime assistance. He added: “I am not going to give details in the middle of a war.” ➤ Araghchi has also previously described Russia and China as “strategic partners,” while stressing that Iran ultimately “knows how to defend ourselves by ourselves.” (See clip linked in post below) 🎥 NBC News with FM Araghchi. 🚨 NEW: Trump says the U.S. struck Iran because, if he “didn’t hit them first,” Tehran would have “taken over the Middle East” and attacked Israel. Speaking to reporters today, President Trump said Iran was planning to “take over the Middle East” with its “thousands of missiles” and “try and destroy Israel” — two of the three justifications he cited for launching the U.S.-Israeli regime change war against Iran on February 28. Trump also claimed Iran was pursuing nuclear weapons, saying Iranian negotiators had effectively told Washington: “We want to continue to build nuclear weapons.” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted on X in the days before the first U.S. strike that Iran will “under no circumstances ever develop a nuclear weapon,” a position also confirmed by Oman’s foreign minister, who was mediating the talks. Since coming to power in the 1979 revolution, Iran’s regime has not initiated a war against another state, but it has supported armed groups resisting Israel’s occupation and expansion.
