What the Israeli Air Force destroyed at Sanandaj Airport was a Bell 214A Isfahan utility helicopter belonging to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, not an Mi-17. Even if it had been an Mi-17, it would still have belonged to the Red Crescent Society. There is no military base at Sanandaj Airport. The Israeli Air Force is striking whatever it can and labeling it as an IRGC or military asset to justify its actions.
