Iran Reveals HOW It Captured U.S. Underwater Drone Iranian state media released new footage showing the REMUS 600, which it says was HUNTED and captured intact in the Persian Gulf. The U.S. drone follows pre-programmed underwater routes before returning to a designated recovery point. Iran now potentially has its mission routes, sonar data, search algorithms and navigation settings, offering a window into U.S. operations beneath the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has announced the capture of an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) called the REMUS 600, belonging to the U.S. Navy. According to reports, this is the second modern American AUV that Iran has acquired, including the Anduril Dive-LD. Gaining access to such systems could potentially allow Iranian specialists to study their design and individual technical solutions, which could in the long run influence the development of the country's own underwater technologies.

It seems the Iranian now have hands on Andruil DIVE-LD ISR and mine warfare platform. The Iranians are claiming that they have captured the autonomous underwater recon vehicle intact. While I doubt they will find any pathbreaking tech in it but they can surely understand the extent of US Navy's ISR capabilities. The drone was delivered to US Navy last year and now Iranian captured it.
