The show lasted 2 years, and only got 26 episodes in a time where X-Men & Spider-Man also had cartoons and they lasted longer.

Yeah and Hulk & Fantastic Four both had cartoons and lasted about as long as Iron Man did and nobody denies they had popularity Not to mention Iron Man's been featured in most of said cartoons and in tons of videos games.
