IRS 30yrs behind & $15B over budget on tech upgrades. Not a glitch—it's how govt wastes your cash while border/military starve. Slash consultants. Cut bloat. Fund what protects Americans. D.C. keeps paying for failure. You keep funding the circus.
Why waste any time on it at all? Just dismantle it all. Flat, low tax or no taxes at all.
Abolish the IRS completely
They have not updated the systems because it is easy to commit fraud through them. Updated systems would cut off their gravy train.
The IRS isa criminal organization that should be shut down.
Realize this means you're going to have to reactivate a lot of us old, retired IT guys. When you let technology get THAT far behind, your current work force won't be enough. You gotta have people that remember WHY it's a bad idea to use fax machines over VOIP for instance.
Thank you! As a CPA, I would love to have a better way to interface with the IRS on behalf of my clients; we are still using fax to send documents to/from..... Also, it's 2025 and the IRS still requires a wet signature. Can we bring e-signing back to the IRS like during covid?
