Meanwhile, some governors are stashing away funds meant for their people or spending them on needless projects, while heaping blame and telling lies about Mr. President. History will judge all of us for what we do today, even when we appear untouchable because we wield the power of the state. No one remains governor forever. What endures are the projects we build, the lives we touch, and the opportunities we create for our people. Even something as simple as releasing local government funds and allowing the councils to use them judiciously for grassroots development can become a defining legacy. Governors have come and gone. On our way to Samburu County, we stopped at Tangulbei, Baringo County. We were reminded that what we are doing with the #UkatibaCaravan is different as many politicians do not go to Tangulbei nor listen to the grievances of the people. We heard of long-standing neglect, a strong sense of marginalisation, especially amongst the pastoralist community and lack of inclusion of their youth and community in regional & national development. This is what propels me each day, to drive through rough terrain- not helicopters- to listen to our people. To craft with all of you an #Ukatiba agenda to reset, restore, rebuild Kenya United Green Movement
