The Milky Way Galaxy is our galactic home; a uniquely special place in the Universe. This beautiful barred spiral galaxy is estimated to contain roughly 100 billion stars and is over 100,000 light-years in diameter. It formed in the early Universe and is thought to be around 13.6 billion years old. It takes our solar system 200 million years to complete one full orbit around this gorgeous galaxy. The last time our solar system was in this location, dinosaurs ruled the Earth. The Milky Way is just one seemingly average galaxy in a cosmic sea of galaxies. I’ve found a way to get Destiny home from Stargate Universe. Hear me out. By the time Stargate Universe happens, the events of The Ark of Truth have already happened. The Ori are gone, their followers have learned the truth, and the civilizations of the Ori galaxy are no long enemies. The Ori tech technology still exists. So why couldn’t that become the key to rescuing Destiny? Earth already knows how powerful Ori Supergate technology is, and we’ve already seen Stargates powered using energy from black holes. The Ori Galaxy now working with Earth, they can use Supergates, Ancient technology and black hole energy to establish a connection with the Stargate network near Destiny. Then! (And this is where I’m a genius) instead of simply getting Destiny’s crew home, find a way to establish a Supergate near Destiny as they can establish a super gate the same way they did in the Milly Way Galaxy. You’d effectively create a bridge between the Milky Way, the Ori galaxy and the distant galaxies Destiny has spent millions of years travelling through. The technology would open up Stargate to a new era of intergalactic exploration and thus the Stargate Universe as a whole. Hell. You could actually rotate crew on and off Destiny.
