The funniest part is that the props are German, the units are metric, and somehow the comments still found a way to blame America.

People seem to be missing the point. The first reaction video is the guy in the gym reacting to the lady lifting the weight based on where the bar is placed. As it gets closer and closer to the hinge, it becomes more difficult to lift with the same amount of force. The first guy didn't understand that, evidently. Second reaction is to that guy. If nothing else, original post is proving that education has at least failed a LOT of people when it comes to critical analysis and thought.

While the machine uses a pivot hinge, the mechanics actually dictate that the lift becomes exponentially heavier and requires significantly more torque as the angle changes and the bar rise.

Actually yes, kinda. Don't have enough characters to lay it all out but basically the curriculums are dictated and must be adhered to or the budget gets cut. It's also mostly propaganda and worker conditioning and not really actually education.

It isnt illegal, but the DoE has chosen to focus on topics other than physics and math. The average young person can't understand why the force required to lift that increases as they approach the fulcrum but are willing to march in the street to shit in litter boxes for instance

Am I missing something, or is this guy’s whole premise off? The first clip is just pointing out that the weight itself never changed — which is true. The reaction video then jumps to torque and lever arms to explain why it felt harder, which is also true, but that’s a different claim. They’re not actually disagreeing about the same thing. One side is talking about the mass of the implement. The other is talking about mechanical advantage. Both can be correct at the same time.

It doesn't get harder because the beam gets heavier, it gets harder because the closer to the fulcrum she gets the less mechanical advantage she has to lift it, thereby requiring more effort.
