Some americans change the world, others attempt to ruin either themselves or the society.

That's true of any country. The challenge is ensuring that the former consistently outnumber the latter.

Bro, that is literally a German beer brand umbrella in the background. The urge to hate on the US without checking basic facts is hilarious!

@Meshai1234 This is why fact-checking should always come before criticism.

Education’s legal. Assuming every fail is American is the real elective.

A conclusion reached before examining the facts isn't analysis ,it's prejudice.

That Weislauer umbrella in the back is German, the 1000 kg is metric, and the only thing American about this video is the caption trying to drag the USA into it. Even the beer branding has better geography than half the replies😂

The funniest part is that the props are German, the units are metric, and somehow the comments still found a way to blame America.

People seem to be missing the point. The first reaction video is the guy in the gym reacting to the lady lifting the weight based on where the bar is placed. As it gets closer and closer to the hinge, it becomes more difficult to lift with the same amount of force. The first guy didn't understand that, evidently. Second reaction is to that guy. If nothing else, original post is proving that education has at least failed a LOT of people when it comes to critical analysis and thought.

While the machine uses a pivot hinge, the mechanics actually dictate that the lift becomes exponentially heavier and requires significantly more torque as the angle changes and the bar rise.

yall americans really out here acting like opening a door is advanced physics 😭 no wonder the rest of the world is clapping yall cheeks in everything else

Generalisations are usually a sign that nuance has left the conversation.

That’s simply incorrect. Millions of students attend schools and universities across the U.S. every day.

Public perception is often driven by media exposure rather than actual prevalence.

I don’t understand this video, how is it related to the first?

The guy was just explaining all about basic mechanics as you can see

Am I slow or did this dude get it wrong? Like this whole video premise in general. Like the first video was saying that the weight was the same. Which it is. The second video is arguing that it requires more energy. Which is also valid. They are arguing about two different things. @grok

Geht alle noch mal zur Schule. Das Gewicht bleibt gleich, aber die Kraft die ich einsetzen muss verändert sich. Nennt sich Hebeleffekt.

I don't really think it is It's just common reasoning you know

It's not about weight bro its about force .

Pssst... Torque = Force × Distance I'm sure I'm not the only one pointing this out but it bears repeating. The weight doesn't change but the amount of force she needs to exert in order to lift it increases as she gets closer to the axis.

FopDoodle's profile picture

Actually yes, kinda. Don't have enough characters to lay it all out but basically the curriculums are dictated and must be adhered to or the budget gets cut. It's also mostly propaganda and worker conditioning and not really actually education.

Imperial_TK-524's profile picture
Imperial_TK-5242 months ago

It isnt illegal, but the DoE has chosen to focus on topics other than physics and math. The average young person can't understand why the force required to lift that increases as they approach the fulcrum but are willing to march in the street to shit in litter boxes for instance

david's profile picture
david2 months ago

Am I missing something, or is this guy’s whole premise off? The first clip is just pointing out that the weight itself never changed — which is true. The reaction video then jumps to torque and lever arms to explain why it felt harder, which is also true, but that’s a different claim. They’re not actually disagreeing about the same thing. One side is talking about the mass of the implement. The other is talking about mechanical advantage. Both can be correct at the same time.

"Give me a big enough lever and i will lift the world" Archimedes

It doesn't get harder because the beam gets heavier, it gets harder because the closer to the fulcrum she gets the less mechanical advantage she has to lift it, thereby requiring more effort.

Says is education illegal in USA then shows an American explaining how basic mechanics work, and the first dude didn’t even talk in his post so he could literally be from in other country 😂😂😂 horrible ragebait atp

Archimedes had it figured 2 millennia ago: give me a lever long enough and a place to stand and I can move the world.
