Is Falling ASLEEP While Praying Bad?

Not at all. When I have trouble sleeping I will often pray the rosary to help me sleep. It is comforting and it puts my mind and my soul at ease so I can rest.

@Onewhitefrijole As a child, my mother reassured me by telling me that my guardian angel would finish my prayers for me. Don’t know if that’s true, but it alleviated my anxiety.

Our Bishop said this years ago and it’s consoling! This woman next me fell asleep in Adoration last Friday and I thought of the Bishop’s words.

How much do we love our beloved pets when they fall asleep on us, or a little baby. They feel 100% safe and secure. And we don't want to budge or wake them so that they can continue feeling that peace (and us too). That is how our Father feels when we fall asleep in prayer.
