Information by itself is just data. Truth emerges from the middle ground among long sequences of data. This is demonstrated by the ‘how many jelly beans in a jar’ experiment. Each person has a unique perspective, but if we sum all their guesses and divide the total by the number of participants, we consistently arrive at the truth (the average). So, the truth can be reached by collecting vast amounts of data (even if some of it consists of fake news), analyzing/summing it, and calculating the average. The truth will always carry more weight than something with no real foundation in reality.
