Is it time to go back to the 1 vs 8 playoff format?

I’d fuckin love it, so much more fun and the weirdest rivalries happen. I miss it so much. Wildcard is KIND OF fun, but it just feels so tired and boring now

1-8 should’ve never been discarded in the first place. Just schedule more games per year against divisional rivals or something. Every playoff hockey series becomes an intense rivalry without the intent for it to become one. Sick of seeing the same first round matchups every year

1 vs 8 is the only way it should be, inagine having a 105+ point season and your reward is the #3 team

It should go back to 1v16, 2v15, etc. Fuck this conference bullshit. Bring forward the possibility of huge rivalries meeting in the final.
