Please don't be mad at me if you're a MrBeast fan I meant no offense anyway here's the book:

Overthinking is natural, but instead of looping through endless ‘what-ifs,’ try this: map your best, worst, most likely, and wildcard outcomes. It’s a game-changer for clarity and action. Here’s the playbook:

I have definitely heard YouTubers say their videos do better when they make the stupid soy face in the thumbnail.

People give this guy WAY too much credit, “hacked the algorithm” nah, the guy just pumps out brain rot content for kids to consume. These 12 y/o are so hopped up on chemicals the parents don’t want to deal with raising them, so they just shove an iPad in their face as a pacifier

He has talked previously about the data he has on his videos. He would release the same video with different facial expressions, backgrounds, etc. and the data showed he had more success doing a “shocked/amazed” expression and then it changed to the current “dead inside” smile

He is partly famous because he has no artistic presence. He is just a function that turns knowledge about humans into high viewership content. The face has to be just another thing he's landed on via a search.

Ambiguity. If this expression follows some surprising turn of events, it can be read as 😬😳😀😊😺 Honestly, Jim from the office is probably the template. Those 4th wall-breaking expressions can be subbed in for any preceding event

Shot in the dark here: he has a somewhat generic face, and for illustrations and cartoons, he needs something that makes him *him*. This signature, unifying expression might be his way of connecting his face across different mediums🤷‍♂️

I think he just knows intellectually that he's supposed to smile because that's a thing that normal people do, but he doesn't really understand how.
