When I brought home a puppy shepherd, my eldest shepherd took it upon herself to be mama and took care of the puppy. They’re wonderful even with puppies too.

Not if the GSD is under a year. The little brats bite everything. Once that is over, they are great. Owner of 3 GSD puppies during my life.

My granddaughter used to lay on our German Shepard when she was upset. He always comforted her.

@TSH3_ My daughter’s German Shepherd Charle is wonderful with my 4 year old and 1 year old granddaughters. He is a big one too. Always gentle and protective.

That’s the wonder of dogs, they know what’s theirs and will sacrifice everything if needed! Remember pup spelled backwards is still “pup”, but what is dog spelled backwards! Puts it all into perspective!

The baby is the safest thing in the house. GSD won't let the newest member of the pack come to any harm.

I saw my uncle’s GS attack my 3 year old cousin at a family picnic. She came up to pet him and he attacked. Make sure any dog is okay around kids first and keep an eye on them. They’re not all the same. My GS is really good around kids. I’m lucky.
