I like what you've done here. These are points that have been raised time and time again and there is little doubt they are valid. Also, there is no way I could do justice to these issues. I do know something about these matters. A condensed short answer to "how does that work" may be summed up in one phrase; The Sovereignty of God. The Holy Spirit inspired "sinful" men to write His word. Of course being "sinful" they didn't do it perfectly. That's not a problem because The God of the Bible is not fool enough to rely on His fallen creatures and neither requires nor expects perfection from them. Religious scholars can fight and argue; Luther and the cardinals can be adverse to each other all day long. The Apostle Paul reportedly died all alone and claimed everyone had forsaken him. Regardless of humanity's fallen state and our inconsistency and unlimited shenanigans it's God who saves and God alone.
