Is there really that much difference between owning a Belgian Malinois and a German Shepherd, or is one just a more expensive way to destroy your house and your sanity?

My GSD lizzy hasn’t destroyed anything except large iguanas.

I love these dogs, they are crazy, best watch dogs and best family pets you could ever get, But they must be trained and taken for long walks and long runs, These dogs mean business, highly obedient, simply amazing

A German Shepherd is far better for a family and the Belgian is more suited for a working role. If you get a Belgian, it'll need more of your time, energy, and attention.

We owned a GS, and a shot glass went missing. We found our GS chewing on something and it was the bottom of a shot glass with the edges smooth enough to handle. Reach your own conclusions.

When my BM was about a year old, she swallowed a whole ribeye bone.. whole. It was about 8 inches long, we couldn’t believe it. I thought it would kill her. We took her into the shower and put some peroxide down her throat to make her throw up. ( this brilliant idea tool about 15 minutes ) She threw the bone up.. it was about 4 inches long and smooth on the sides like a used bar of soap.. it was much narrower and very thin.

Grit, brains, ability. Shepherds possess these traits but not to the degree of Malinoise.
