No. It’s good to train your kids but not this way. He lacks muzzle discipline and in a real life situation would possibly shoot the first person he saw. Also he needs more time to learn the detrimental effects of pointing a gun at someone. We see too many kids playing with guns end up dead

Eventually, yes. My dad was teaching me firearms around this age.. but it was a .22 and target practice, not a mock break-in. This kid is WAY too young to be casually holding that firearm. This is incredibly irresponsible. He's going to think this is just a game.

I work with my twelve year old on helping me clear the house if God forbid it ever comes to that. I rock the rifle and he’s on my six with a 9mm. Kid moves good too

He needs to be better trained in handling that gun. Finger off the trigger is good but he angles it up under his chin like Hollywood. My husband made that mistake in our gun class and was reamed publicly by the instructor who was a former cop. Totally understand what this guy is doing but he lacks clean handling skills to pass on.

Definitely a good drill for a kid so young. He needs to be taught to not point that gun at people tho, he didn’t point it AT his sister but it was close enough. 6/10 but I appreciate a dad that wants to keep his kids safe and teach his son to protect the family

@ErikUnchained No. They are too young for that kind of training. He was told to shoot if momma screams, but what if mom was yelling at aunti laquiesha and he doesn't understand she isn't in danger? He's likely going to do as he was told and end up in jail Teaching kids to shoot is ok, not this

@NobodymrRobert I don’t see a problem here, maybe some more training on keeping it pointed at the ground. Props to dad, in the world we live in now this is unfortunately needed. The drills will be engrained so if something does happen it’s all instinct and not chaos. Better safe than sorry.

lil buddy pointed it at his own head and his sister. gun safety for kids is great but before going through any scenarios, first thing the dad should’ve done is walk through how to hold and how to operate the firearm. this is bound to end extremely bad for everyone 🙅🏻

No they should use Airsoft until the kids are older. Bear in mind because they're black they probably live in a dangerous neighborhood & eventually we'll need this training.
