How woke is Thomas U? I bet you this was done to make Whites understand what it's like when Whites mispronounce black names and that everyone was in on it. I give it a 45% likelihood. Course then you'd think it'd be every name and not just select ones. Hmmm..🤔

Unfortunately it is so much worse than anyome knows...I once worked for a Public elementry school where the teachers had written their own bio's with their picture and out of the 15 teachers (or the Principal) wrote a proper sentence. Mispellings galore and they were up all year!

The speaker did it on purpose, never once in her life has she heard those names said like that.

I think part of their graduation prank was to write their names messed up on cards that was suppose to be given to the lady to read. I know a HS graduation where students palmed marbles and gave to the Principal when they shook his hand and he kept putting until pockets bulged.
