A very rare case of Ectopia Cordis A congenital malformation in which the heart is abnormally located either partially or totally outside of the thorax. The ectopic heart might be found in different anatomical locations such as neck, chest, or abdomen. In most cases,such as this, the heart protrudes outside the chest through a split sternum. The incidence rate is about 8 per million births. The prognosis is poor and has a very few reported survivors after surgical correction.
