ngl, this is my fav theo video so far

probably not

Although this seems like great news, my question is, Why the change?

I doubt it...

doubt it, still cheapest way to ship ios and android from one codebase, nothing else closes that gap yet

I still use @expo , it is quite ocnvenient.

Still makes more sense for solo founders instead of having multiple codebases

Whatever else comes from this, I vote to bring back the blonde hair dark mustache vibe. The world can ALWAYS use more mustache. It's the key to stopping the AI takeover. If you don't and the AI overlords are spanking us within 10 years, I know who to lay all the blame on.

Native isn't dead, but "write once" sure took a hit.

Is this the end of me asking for Android notifications please? No. 😘.

php

Frameworks rarely die on schedule. They just become the thing nobody wants to own during the rewrite.

Calling the end of React Native overlooks how stubborn production mobile stacks are. Migration overhead alone keeps established frameworks alive for years.

for shopify yes as you see

shopify already voted with their feet on this one

PLEASE do a video on your opinions on the various types of open source licenses!!

@parth5al

Never left the native stacks, it has always paid dividends :-)

Tobi is known for changing his mind on a whim with technology choices just FYI

shopify shipped RN at real scale and still walked away. thats the only review that matters.

honestly this is the move i've been betting on. cross-platform always dies at the details: gestures, accessibility, per-app custom features. with agents writing the boring 80%, going native costs way less than it used to

yes we’ve been claiming it for half a year

react native has been ending for about 8 years now, really taking its time

NativePHP is the future

Yeah the LLM is going to be the framework of the future
