base essentially fabricated a stupid fucking narrative around the concept of a "content coin" which is just a memecoin with an attempt at a rebrand. anything to suit themselves and gain attention when they lack it in comparison to other chains that have a lot more interest and things being built on it. i do agree with some of your points when you look at doxed creators and who benefits, as well as the lower supply of a token they didnt deploy but all of this regardless is not the web3 i signed up for.

Yeah I think a lot of eth/base types are culturally misaligned w the ultra degenerate mindset of tokenizing valueless things with your name attached. Even where memes are thriving (pump) that's still pretty taboo. I'd say maybe like <5% of coins have doxxed creators, and of those, very few are having multiple coins in their name Personally I don't care about crypto being sacred or only for building things of substance, I think no utility/no roadmap ventures are more honest and have a proper place in crypto. I hold pretty much every major cc0/ no utility nft project as well haha. That said, I understand what's "good" for reputations rn or "good" for communities of holders and mass dilution is pretty much never ideal for anybody involved
