China successfully launched the Yaogan-50 02 remote sensing satellite into space at 21:22 on Sunday aboard a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. The satellite entered its planned orbit smoothly and will be used for land surveys, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation, according to CCTV News.

Fun fact: Elon Musk and SpaceX failed their first 3 attempts to launch the Falcon 1 into orbit. By 2008 when the 4th launch was scheduled, Elon said SpaceX was essentially on its last available money for Falcon 1. So either succeed, or face doom as a company. The fourth launch succeeded and the rest is history.
