🚨🇺🇸 ANOTHER CLEAN RETURN FOR SPACEX AS FALCON HAS A FLAWLESS TOUCHDOWN SpaceX nailed it again. Falcon 9 booster successfully touched down at Landing Zone 4 moments ago after launching [payload/mission details if known, otherwise: its latest mission from Cape Canaveral. The booster, fresh off the pad, executed a textbook return to LZ 4 on Florida's Space Coast, legs deployed, engines relit, and a perfect vertical touchdown. This marks yet another precise landing for the reusable rocket program that's redefined spaceflight. With boosters now routinely flying multiple missions, SpaceX continues to drive down launch costs and push rapid reusability closer to reality. What makes Roman special: • Its mirror came from hardware once built for U.S. intelligence • Same mirror size as Hubble, but less than 1/4 the weight • A huge 300MP infrared camera • Each image covers at least 100× more sky than Hubble • In five years, it should image over 50× more sky than Hubble did in 30 • Will study dark matter, dark energy and billions of galaxies • Carries 1,350,144 people’s names toward L2 • All survey data will be public after processing Roman launched nine months early and on budget. Falcon Heavy’s center booster was not recovered, but both side boosters flew home and landed. 13 Falcon Heavy missions. 13 successes. Another flawless launch from SpaceX.

Dragon Launch Escape Initiated During the launch escape test, where SpaceX intentionally destroyed an entire rocket to prove its safety, Dragon was fed the normal launch sequence for an ISS mission. Dragon wasn’t told to escape, but its onboard autonomous flight computers noticed the loss of thrust on Falcon before the Merlin engines could even fully shut down. Once Dragon realized there was a mission critical anomaly, it instantly initiated the launch escape sequence firing all 8 SuperDraco thrusters, separating explosive bolts on the second stage, and took autonomous control of the mission, in less time than any human reaction on the ground or in the capsule could of realized. Falcon, the crew, Dragon, and the ground can all initiate an escape if required. Although this test was uncrewed (meaning nobody was on the rocket during the test), if there was a life threatening emergency that would put the mission at risk, Dragon could leave and get out of the situation immediately.
