This is a message to the people who believe that ”Israel hates Arabs and Muslims”. Yesterday, Israel rescued an Arab Muslim who was held hostage by Arab Islamist extremists. 52-year-old Qaid Farhan AlKadi was kidnapped on October 7 by Hamas who kept him in captivity for 326 days. Qaid went from being kidnapped, starved, and kept in captivity by Arab Islamist extremists in Gaza and is now being treated by Jewish Israeli doctors back in his home, Israel. And where do you think Qaid is going to go after his treatment? Egypt? Jordan? No, he’s going back to his home in Israel. This is what people who blindly hate Israel don’t understand, they truly believe that ”Israel hates Arabs and Muslims” when the reality is that Israel consists of more than 2 million Arab Muslims, who have 3 major Arabic political parties in Israel, 2 of which are currently in the parliament. Many Arab Israelis love Israel, and many Arab Israelis are critical of Israeli policies, just like Lebanese, Iraqis, and Syrians are critical of their governments’ policies. But at the end of the day, just as Lebanese call Lebanon their home, and Iraqis call Iraq their home, Arab Israelis call Israel their home.

Yesterday based on intelligence received Israeli Border Police stopped an automobile driven by an Israeli Arab woman with two young children in the back seat. On inspection they found a Palestinian Arab hiding in the spare tire space in the trunk and another one hiding under the children's blankets in the back seat. The woman was trying to smuggle the two Palestinian Arabs illegally into Israel proper from Judea & Samaria. She tried to pretend that she was unaware of their presence. The incident is recorded below. It turns out that the woman driver shas engaged in numerous similar smuggling incidents in the recent past. This is just one of a myriad of examples of what the Israeli security forces have to face daily on 7 different fronts. (Thanks to Yisrael Medad)

Let me tell you a little bit about Rawan Osman روان عثمان She is a Syrian-Lebanese woman who grew up in Lebanon. She actually used to be a fan of Hezbollah in her teenage years. But when she moved to Europe and lived amongst Jewish people and got to know what we are really about, she realized that in the Arab World, people are brainwashed. That the wars we’ve all lived through could have been avoided had the Arabs accepted to share land with the Jewish People who are indigenous to the so-called Middle East. Before Oct. 7, she was building bridges between Arabs and Israelis by inviting Arabs to join educational programs on the Holocaust. After October 7, she switched to full-on fighter mode and became vocal on social media. She launched ArabsAsk to counter Hamas’s propaganda and even though she’s at the beginning of this journey, she is still labeled a traitor or a far right activist. She is neither of those things. What she is is an independent thinker, brave, outspoken and honest. Only with people of sound minds like her, who are brave enough to withstand the mob mentality of radical Islamic fundamentalists who don’t even know they’re being brainwashed - or who are fine with it - will we even achieve peace between Arabs and Jews, and will the world defeat Radical Islam. When I say that I have hope, it is because of people like Rawan.

As Arabs, we need to understand that Israel and the West are not our oppressors or enemies. We, Arabs, are our own worst enemies. We, Arabs, are our greatest oppressors. We, Arabs, have killed and oppressed a million times more of our people than the West and Israel can ever do. It is not Israel that married off my mother when she was a child. It is my people who did. It is not the West or Israel that has been bombing Yemen for the past decade and killed 400,000. It is us, Arabs, who did it. It is not the Israel that implanted Islamic extremism in the East and the West. It is our mosques, it is the books we worship, it is the Imams we follow, it is what we learn and what we teach. It is not the West that forces us to treat women like commodities. It is our people. And most of all, it is not the West or Israel that doesn’t value Arab lives. It is us, Arabs, who do not value human life. If we do not admit to ourselves that WE are the problem, that WE are refusing to progress, and that WE need to change – then change will never happen, blood will keep flowing, and we will never know peace. How do we expect the world and the International Community to respect us, when we don’t respect ourselves?
