It has been about two decades since the Bears were good at drafting and developing homegrown players who produced a good pass rush, as Brett Kollmann discussed with Rahimi, Harris & Grote.

@BrettKollmann The Bears haven't been a good draft and develop team for almost every position since 2005 lol

@BrettKollmann Bears drafted Floyd who never had more than 7 sacks in a season with the bears and then proceeded to have 5 straight seasons with no less than 8.5 sacks with 3 other teams 🥲

@BrettKollmann Guys are sleeping in rookie year mark anderson

@BrettKollmann You can make same argument for QB and WR.

@BrettKollmann Blame Poles for being a fucking hack and Ryan Pace for his questionable signings

@BrettKollmann Why are you asking the opinion of a totally biased “journalist?” He’s a Packer fan through and through and always knocks anything the Bears do.

@BrettKollmann It should be noted, drafting and developing starting caliber d-linemen is actually a league wide problem. The position group has the lowest hit rate of any in the 1st round, the second lowest in the 2nd round, and never better than a couple of round/position group combos.

@ErikLambert1 @BrettKollmann Alex Brown

@BrettKollmann How did this woman land her job again? After listening to the FA coverage last week I was blown away by the little she knew about players

@BrettKollmann Ryan Poles needs to correct that by drafting some solid defensive players and developing them.

@BrettKollmann Going to be Austin booker. Got a feeling

@BrettKollmann This is a dumb take

I would point out that the only people worth talking about are the people who are actually here making decisions now. What has Poles done? Drafting is one aspect of building a team. Getting different makers on the D-line is drafting them in the First 2 rounds. Only 2 guys made the All-pro team that weren't drafted in the first 2 rounds. Poles picked Wright instead of Carter and Rome instead of Verse. Or we would not be talking about any of this.
