Black History Month may be coming to a close, but the impact of Black artistry is forever. Prince didn’t just shape music, he redefined it. A fearless innovator, genre-blending visionary, and unapologetic creative force, he opened doors and changed the sound of Black music for generations to come.

On this day in 2004, Prince embarked on his Musicology Live 2004ever tour to promote his 28th studio album, Musicology. The release, which included tracks like "Call My Name," "Cinnamon Girl," and "Life 'O' The Party," was given to concert goers who attended the performances, while the physical retail version was available in the UK on April 19th, and in the US on April 20th. "Musicology is all about music the way it used to be and it’s about getting the music to the people. That’s why everyone who comes to the show gets a copy of the record. The CD is included in the ticket price, and we’re giving out approximately 50,000 copies each week in order to keep increasing the exposure to the new album." - Prince We’ll be highlighting all 12 tracks on the album starting with the title track. 40 years ago today, Prince began to work on “When Doves Cry” at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. Widely considered to be Prince's biggest hit song, "When Doves Cry" was the final track recorded for Purple Rain, and the album's debut single. It became Prince’s first #1 song on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts. "What is commercial, and what is innovative? One of my biggest records had no bass—“When Doves Cry"." - Prince

CREAM was Recorded on December 3, 1990, in Paisley Park, Studio A, and released on September 9, 1991, as the second single off #DiamondsAndPearls. Subsequently, it hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Cream Take 2 reveals not only the strength of the song but also the power of Prince’s producing, as he instinctively knew what to add to “Cream” to make it a classic.“ It puts me right back with headphones, in the studio with him,” - Tommy Barbarella. Stream both versions and let us know your thoughts below! #Prince #NPGRecords

LZA has special behavior to keep shiny Pokémon from despawning! This looks to be intentional. The game stashes up to 10 shiny Pokémon and keeps them from despawning if you leave the area. Essentially, nonshinies are rerolled but shinies are not, as you can see here in this clip.

One of the OG shiny cards!! Gold star: Mewtwo! Check out his green shiny belly and tail! Need a bit of cash to get it graded, but once we have it, it’s going straight to CGC!! (🎼: PokéMon Center remix by Qumu (Cannot be reached here, find me elsewhere.))
