Today, I addressed the Peace Formula meeting in Malta, which gathered 66 countries from around the world, both from the West and the Global South. In total, almost 70 global actors have already joined the Peace Formula process. The aspiration for peace is stipulated in international law and the UN Charter. But does the UN Charter work? Here in Ukraine, in the Middle East, and in African countries, the answer to this question is the cries of mothers burying their sons and daughters killed in wars, as well as the despair of children orphaned by wars. We can and must give a different answer. I proposed the Peace Formula last year. Its 10 points cover all aspects of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and are based on the principles of the UN Charter and UNGA resolutions. Over the year, the Formula has gradually become global, with more and more countries and international organizations joining efforts to implement it. The result of these collective actions can be the restoration of the territorial integrity of our state and the full force of international law, thus ensuring a reliable and just peace.

We continue our marathon toward the first Global Peace Summit, which can and must demonstrate the true value of international cooperation, as well as all of the words about defending the UN Charter and the international rules-based order spoken during the years of this war. Every leader who will attend the Summit, every leader who assists in its organization, and every state whose strength we are now adding to the collective strength of protecting human life are all contributing to the marathon of Peace Summit preparations. Today I spoke with the leaders of Spain, Belgium, Latvia, Finland, and Cabo Verde. Step by step, we are bringing together a truly global community, with every continent represented at the Summit, as well as various nations, both geographically large and smaller ones, those who have already spoken out in support of international law and those who will in the future. While those in Moscow hypocritically use the notion of “multipolarity” as a guise for their efforts to control the lives of other nations, we are creating a real instrument of true multipolarity and inviting the global majority to the Peace Summit. This majority must have a say and can bring just peace closer.
