@finebaum Maybe they shouldn’t arbitrarily enforce rules and you would t have any of this. 100% ncaa and sec fault we are here.

@finebaum Finebaum has been entirely wrong on this issue since it started. None of his predictions have panned out. Needs to bury the hatchet before he buries what’s left of his career.

@finebaum The SEC will collapse before LSU

@finebaum Wrong the only person who is mad is Greg Sankey because he doesn’t like Lane Kiffin

@finebaum Hey Paul - SEC can be angry. All they want. have you talked about all the lawsuits all across the country or just LSU? we know you’re a Brian, Kelly lover, and it shows

@finebaum Why do you people value Pauls opinion? He runs the Jerry Springer version of a sports show

@finebaum The SEC rn:

Finebaum is a pot stirring IDIOT! Just a big mouth, click bait puppet for ESPN! Sad that an older “man” who should have reached maturity by now can take such joy in trashing successful people! What a LOSER!!

@finebaum Abiding by the rules set in place and saying something that hurt Sankey’s ego…now, the SEC looks to oust them? Is that how the world is supposed to work professionally? I don’t think so. Assumed intention is not the same as noncompliance.

@finebaum LSU screwed tbemsevles by colluding with those players to sue the SEC for a rules change. THATS UNHEARD OF!!! There will be consequences. LSU went too far

@finebaum Once again Paul Finebaum is clueless and leading the hate Lane train.

@finebaum Sankey, or more correctly, someone in the SEC office, speaks to Paul directly. He is a communications tool for the SEC office by design. ESPN has a stake in this whole issue also. LSU needs to make overtures to the Big 10 in lieu of the hostile action of the SEC. Can u imagine!

@finebaum The SEC is HEATED. 😳🏈 If LSU really gets kicked out, that would shake college football like we’ve never seen before. 🔥

Neither Wright or Harris were added to the roster. So, let’s get this straight - the SEC is going to try and enforce a “rule” that has never applied to basketball players who have played abroad, signed professional contracts and earned professional money, then allowed to play a 5th year of college ball against the LSU football program, affecting EVERY SPORTS PROGRAM for “recruiting thoughts”. But the grey hair-on-fire outrage of Commissioner Sankey (m-o-u-s-e) has his underwear in a wad because Coach Kiffin has talked to and considered adding two never played a game NFL wanna-bees. The “thought police” at the SEC need to be immediately removed!

@finebaum Baldie locks!!

@finebaum “They’re not gonna throw LSU out of the SEC.” 🏈

@finebaum Paul is friends with Sankey. This is embarrassing having a rouge commissioner who’s always a step behind the Big10. This overreaction will cost him his job. The south will not side with a rouge Yankee over LSU….watch!

@finebaum They are trying to bully LSU into accepting punishment... NOT gon happen.

"angry" about fucking what? LSU has done nothing wrong. the relevant bylaw says "An SEC institution is not permitted to have an athlete on its roster who" signed a pro contract. and LSU does not have anyone like that. hope that helps. it doesnt say you cant ask questions. and kiffin should, the NCAA fucked these kids. in April they obviously knew they were weeks away from adding a 5th year to everyones eligibility. Yet they sat there mute as hundreds (thousands?) of 4th year football players across the county made themselves ineligible, through absolutely no fault of their own. Wright and Harris are both adamant they would have stayed at Ole Miss if they knew they had another year, they didnt think they were ready. they were AT camp when the NCAA changed policy and announced that they did. the fuck is that? the kids cant go forward because they were forced to try out before they were ready, and they cant backwards because the NCCA slammed every door shut and changed the locks. and considering how fucking shady theyve been with the 2022 class, and how hard they make it for those athletes to actually get and use the new 5th year, its completely reasonable to wonder if the NCAA did all that on purpose, if they set the football players up to fail. and if they did, then they didnt act in good faith, and any contract players signed should be ignored. three weeks with the Browns did not give them any sort of unfair advantage. if anything it made them worse. what the NCAA did to these kids is not fair. its not right.

@finebaum SEC got their feelings hurt 😂😂

@finebaum So the SEC has a huge file on Kiffin and could've suspended him or taken action at any time? But they waited until he made a snarky comment to Holly Rowe and that was the final straw?

@finebaum This is all b/c the buffoon, @GregSankey, wants to single out LSU. He's not a leader that's why they reported that he wouldn't answer questions & was evasive in court. He's a disgrace & a 🤡.

@finebaum Paul…to claim that Verge is a puppet and doesn’t deserve the job as AD is absurd. @MattMoscona @JacobHester18 @TBob53 @HuntPalmer88 someone get this guy on the record defending this comment. #cancelPawl

@finebaum Paul is so close to busting a load in his pants

@finebaum I can’t believe the SEC still takes itself seriously. Everyone has brown paper bags now. The secret sauce isn’t a secret anymore, it’s a business. They also aren’t suspending the only rockstar in the SEC either. It’s literally the only national spark the SEC even has.

@finebaum

@finebaum Ole Miss is so scared of having to face Lane Kiffin.

@finebaum The SEC is besides itself LSU elected to not roster the players with an incredible case to play? 😭 we live in an onion article.

@finebaum We already know how Tennessee and Old Miss would vote...

@finebaum …”Sankey is extremely angry”. It’s hard to believe Kiffin was clean as a whistle at Ole Miss and there’s now piles of evidence against Lane since hired by LSU??? Sankey’s feelings are hurt and sanctioning LSU in some fashion is his mission.

@finebaum The SEC when Kiffin makes a joke

Could LSU sue if the SEC penalizes them? Possibly. Courts will intervene in the decisions of private associations (like the SEC) if the decision is arbitrary and/or affects property rights. Could LSU argue that it’s arbitrary to penalize them for perhaps coming close- but not actually breaking- a rule? More detailed thoughts:

@finebaum Kiffin has been a POS EVERYWHERE he goes.

@finebaum It would be a disservice for the SEC to kick out LSU SEC is so unserious
