It is shocking that despite the Model Code of Conduct being in force, widespread violence was allowed to unfold in front of @CEOBengal’s office. Kolkata Police failed to contain TMC hooligans, who had gathered outside a public office to restrain and intimidate those seeking to appeal their deletion from... the voter roll. Section 163 of the BNSS, equivalent to Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), is in force around the CEO’s office, yet Kolkata Police failed to implement it. And this isn’t the first time. To make matters worse, the OC of Amherst Street Police Station illegally detained a BJP worker who had come to submit an appeal at the CEO’s office. No action was taken against the TMC goons who created the ruckus. Ajay Kumar Nand (CP Kolkata) must immediately initiate an inquiry against the concerned OC and place the facts in the public domain. The OC appears to be guilty of violating Section 163 of the BNSS, falsely accusing a BJP worker of trespassing in a public office and of turning a victim into an accused. He should be suspended forthwith and subjected to major penalty proceedings.show more

Today, despite having informed the police in advance that I intended to attend a gathering of supporters of the Islamic Republic, I was subjected to unacceptable and deeply concerning conduct by the Metropolitan Police Service. While I had engaged in no form of violence and was merely asking participants simple questions including “Are you Iranian?” and “Do you support the Islamic Republic?” I was first assaulted by a woman who threw a sandwich at my face. Shortly afterwards, I was suddenly subjected to physical force by a police officer. This use of force was so excessive and unprofessional that it aggravated an existing injury to my rib. Following this incident, instead of protecting me as the victim of an assault, the police threatened me that I must either leave London or face arrest. I was then again presented with the ultimatum of leaving the area or being arrested. This occurred despite the fact that the assault against me took place in full view of police officers, who failed to take any meaningful action to protect me. This conduct constitutes not only a clear violation of my right to freedom of expression and peaceful presence at a public gathering, but also demonstrates unequal and discriminatory treatment by the police. I will be pursuing this matter through the appropriate legal and oversight channels and will be filing a formal complaint against the Metropolitan Police Service for the violation of my rights. A24-year-old woman was stabbed to death inside the office of a private company in Mohali on Thursday evening, allegedly by a former partner and colleague who later turned the knife on himself in an apparent suicide attempt. Investigators are looking into whether an argument over their relationship immediately preceded the attack. A 19-year-old, 1st-year College Student had been drugged and gang-raped in a party recently. Her drink had been spiked before she was raped and the act was filmed with the intention of extorting in the future. The accused is a Local TMC Councillor's son. As usual Mamata Police seem to be trying their best to get him off the hook. Today I marched alongside BJP West Bengal Karyakartas in Behala; Kolkata, to register our vehement protest against the Mamata Police who appear to be complicit in botching up the investigation to favour the TMC Councillor's son.

To the Inspector General of Police TUNJI DISU and the entire leadership of the Nigerian Police Force Nigeria Police Force, This is a formal call for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the individual known as VeryDarkMan for his blatant assault on the integrity of the Force and the office of the newly appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police, Margaret Ochalla. In a widely circulated video, this individual has crossed every line of decency and legality by attempting to intimidate a high ranking officer of the law through baseless allegations of blackmail and corruption. It is an affront to the Nigerian state that a private citizen would feel empowered to address a DIG with such condescension, calling her “Mama” while simultaneously issuing veiled threats that she will “learn the hard way” if she does not abandon her constitutional duties. This behaviour constitutes a direct attempt to obstruct the course of justice and undermine the authority of the Force Criminal Investigation Department. VeryDarkMan claims his social media platform is superior to the law and uses it as a weapon to bully public officials who are tasked with maintaining order and investigating crimes. Allowing such public harassment to go unpunished sets a dangerous precedent where influencers believe they can dictate the direction of police investigations through digital mob action and character assassination. His statement that the path the DIG is taking is a burning one is a clear attempt to incite fear and prevent a public officer from carrying out her lawful mandate. The Nigerian Police Force must act decisively to protect its officers from this brand of cyber intimidation and verbal assault. We cannot have a society where the rule of law is replaced by the whims of a social media personality who believes he is above the statutes of the land. This individual should be taken into custody immediately to answer for these defamatory statements and his attempts to interfere with active legal proceedings. Justice must be served, and the dignity of the Nigerian Police Force must be upheld against those who seek to drag its leadership into disrepute for the sake of online engagement. Condemning these actions is not enough; there must be firm legal consequences to ensure that the office of the DIG and the entire police structure remain respected and free from intimidation. Arresting VeryDarkMan will serve as a deterrent to others who believe that a large following gives them the right to threaten the custodians of our national security.

To the Inspector General of Police TUNJI DISU and the entire leadership of the Nigerian Police Force Nigeria Police Force, This is a formal call for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the individual known as VeryDarkMan for his blatant assault on the integrity of the Force and the office of the newly appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police, Margaret Ochalla. In a widely circulated video, this individual has crossed every line of decency and legality by attempting to intimidate a high ranking officer of the law through baseless allegations of blackmail and corruption. It is an affront to the Nigerian state that a private citizen would feel empowered to address a DIG with such condescension, calling her “Mama” while simultaneously issuing veiled threats that she will “learn the hard way” if she does not abandon her constitutional duties. This behaviour constitutes a direct attempt to obstruct the course of justice and undermine the authority of the Force Criminal Investigation Department. VeryDarkMan claims his social media platform is superior to the law and uses it as a weapon to bully public officials who are tasked with maintaining order and investigating crimes. Allowing such public harassment to go unpunished sets a dangerous precedent where influencers believe they can dictate the direction of police investigations through digital mob action and character assassination. His statement that the path the DIG is taking is a burning one is a clear attempt to incite fear and prevent a public officer from carrying out her lawful mandate. The Nigerian Police Force must act decisively to protect its officers from this brand of cyber intimidation and verbal assault. We cannot have a society where the rule of law is replaced by the whims of a social media personality who believes he is above the statutes of the land. This individual should be taken into custody immediately to answer for these defamatory statements and his attempts to interfere with active legal proceedings. Justice must be served, and the dignity of the Nigerian Police Force must be upheld against those who seek to drag its leadership into disrepute for the sake of online engagement. Condemning these actions is not enough; there must be firm legal consequences to ensure that the office of the DIG and the entire police structure remain respected and free from intimidation. Arresting VeryDarkMan will serve as a deterrent to others who believe that a large following gives them the right to threaten the custodians of our national security.

The SA Police Service 🇿🇦 says it has “taken note of a video depicting alleged preferential treatment and favouritism given to an accused person who is currently in police custody.l “At the time of the incident, the accused who is currently in police custody, is seen being allowed physical contact with his spouse which is not allowed. SAPS management is investigating this incident and internal departmental processes are underway against the members concerned. The SAPS will also establish if the members searched the contents of the bag of the spouse to ensure that the content may not be used to facilitate an escape or endanger the lives of others…”
