Yesterday, I addressed the Central working Committee of the Lagos4Lagos Movement who are drawn from all the Local Governments in Lagos State to personally re-affirm my readiness to joining the Lagos State Gubernatorial race in 2027 as against doing so by proxy. Our deliberations were not merely about ambition, but about articulating a shared vision for the future of Lagos—one anchored in inclusive governance, sustainable growth, and the empowerment of our people. We deliberated on strategies that transcend politics-as-usual, focusing instead on how to strengthen the very foundations of our democracy: accountability, transparency, and service delivery. I made it clear that, regardless of individual outcomes, our duty remains to Lagos and to the progress of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). Together, we will continue to put our hands to the plough, working tirelessly to ensure that the APC not only succeeds electorally but also delivers meaningfully for the people of Lagos. For me, this is about stewardship, about building a Lagos where opportunity, innovation, and prosperity are accessible to all. I told them, it’s time to begin intra-Political activities and galvanize support for the party in preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Earlier today, i was on channels TV to discuss the floods, waste management and the issues Lagosians are dealing with. It is unfortunate that Newspapers like Newsweek and The Tribune exhibited desperate and lazy journalism by literally attributing things to me i did not say. I thank Channels, the Nation and the New telegraph for their Nuance . Let me be very clear, My Job in this cycle is to unite all Lagosians, (the disenchanted APC youth ,Obidients, PDP and Labour party faithful, everyone that loves Lagos and wants a lagos that works) against the problems holding Lagos back: “THE APC". We will bring together people across ALL party lines, ages and class to ensure we form a government that puts you the LAGOSIAN first because it is time for Our Lagos.

The APC has controlled the affairs of Lagos state for over 2 decades and this is how terrified they are, this is their own indictment of their failure, Violence and intimidation are the last refuge of incompetence. The ADC status report : *APC THUGS AND POLICE STOPPED ADC MUSHIN LGA MEETING* The venue that was booked and paid for two weeks before Thursday 9th of October, 2025 slatted for ADC Mushin LGA meeting was sealed by APC Thugs and Police. All was set for ADC Mushin LGA meeting on Thursday 9th October, 2025. 4:00pm. Only for us to notice the presence of Police vans stationed at the gate of the meeting venue. Calls was made through to the management of the facility to know what really happen, he explained that ADC Mushin can no longer use the venue due to naming ceremony that is coming up there. It was a surprise to ADC Chairman and his Excos when we got to the venue to discover that the APC thugs were the ones that occupied the venue doing nothing but dancing to music. "

People from Oshodi-Isolo are determined and looking for every possible means to replace Okey Joe, the person representing Oshodi-Isolo in the House of Representatives. We’ve seen their publications claiming that Okey only empowers Ibo people in Oshodi-Isolo. To be honest, it might be difficult to unseat him because that area is dominated by those people. If it weren’t for Asiwaju’s role in establishing Lagos State, these Ibo people want extra exclusiveness in Lagos State affairs and always wanting to be in a position to dictate who becomes Governor of Lagos State. We are below sea level; when it rains, the tidal level goes up and the storm water cannot clear up easily. This is flash flooding and it eases off after an hour or two. It is not something to sensationalize, it is just the reality we face as a state bordered by the ocean. We are not where we want to be but we are not idle. After speaking to the commissioner of police, lagos state, we had a press conference wherein we addressed several issues as it relates to this protest. In our address, we mentioned that the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Police Command have ordered the immediate release of the protesters who were arrested and detained in Panti, we also spoke about the peaceful protest and the conduct of the enforcement officers. In the press briefing, we assured protesters that our group of lawyers are willing and ready to freely secure the release of whoever is arrested in lagos state. I'm therefore using this medium to urge everyone protesting to ensure that the protest is done peaceful. Please reach out whenever someone protesting close to you is arrested by Lagos State Police Command

Where people are constantly fleeing their homes due to poor drainage systems or where people have to drink water contaminated with “shit” because their government is incompetent. And while the people drown… the government dines. This administration cannot continue to dine while the people groan.
