It May not be The Most Insane sequence ever. But at the time It was seen as Very Cool.

Very well executed. When Randy had his working boots on he was one of the best.

I'm In Quite the Randy Savage deep dive Myself, But there was just something so *Special*. About how, he putted his opponents over big time when he needed too. Making them look like the next big thing, while also playing a perfect cowardly heel whom was very athletic.

Dropped him like a bad habit Playing possum What a clothesline Patented flying elbow Nobody gets up from that It’s all over Gorilla was a cliche machine.

His opponent looks like a cross between Tito Santana and Bruno Sammartino

Don’t care what anyone says but Randy has the greatest flying elbow in the history of wrestling…. Just pure art

The stuff they put out nowadays looks so overly rehearsed and fake that it doesn’t even feel remotely real. Classic wrestling was obviously staged too, but the product from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and even the late ‘70s was just far better from an execution standpoint. This modern shit just looks… goofy. Don’t get me wrong, some of the athletic stuff they do is impressive as hell, but it doesn’t flow naturally and it never feels authentic or organic.

Look how believable it is. From a guy dressed like the Skittles you avoid. What an era. 🤌

Make no mistake, savage was the absolute best wrestler of wwf’s golden era

This is still impressively physical and a bunch of solid rasslers couldn’t pull this off! But maybe don’t ask me because I love me some Randy Savage.

The flashes never get old! Especially when Randy went to the top! If there was one thing we could bring back…

Who is he in the ring with? Looks like a job guy, but Randy's giving a lot to somebody who's "just" a job guy.

Who is Randy’s opponent here?

Savage changed wrestling with the fast pace moves. Up until Savage-Steamboat, wrestling was the land of the giants. Slow pace in aw of the brute strength of the wrestlers. Even WCCW was slow paced at times with the young smaller talent they had.

‘86-‘87 Macho is the 🐐

I know Savage was known for rehearsing his matches but man this really looks like they were making it up as they’re going along, in the best way possible

I’ve watched this match countless times on old VHS. Loved it. “High cross body, missed by Scotty”. The way Savage was after Monsoon. Just a man coming into peak and becoming the best in the world. McGee was brilliant too. I miss those days….🥺

This is real looking not like the bullshit now

It used to be better…

Ohhhhh yeeaaah!

A lot more realistic than the 'insane', ultra choreographed, perfectly timed and unrealistic sequences of today.

That ring looks like it was made of concrete

@DBSmithjr Still great!

I loved how loose the ropes were

相手はティト・サンタナ? マッチョマンがタイトル獲得したIC戦?

Not a house show performer? Zip it Uncle Dave

@Roger774501171 I miss jobbers. It was always cool seeing jabronis like Barry Horowitz taking it to the big name guys for twenty seconds and then getting pummeled.

Was that little bit of working faster, but also everything being so tight and crisp, that made it and Savage stand out from everything else on the shows at the time.

Zero chops, too. Excellent

It’s all over /

I haven't watched WWE in a while...I wonder when was the last "criss cross" executed?

Better than anything they got now.

who is that w/savage?
