It should outrage is all that under our current capitalist system, a company like Walmart shares profits with shareholders while subsidizing their workers with taxpayer dollars. Workers should be benefiting from those profits.

Public assistance - paid to Walmart workers - is just backdoor corporate WELFARE to @walmart. The taxpayer is keeping Walmart employees alive, so corporate management & ownership can pay themselves richer buybacks & dividends... and then turnaround, and dodge taxation.

Hey commie. WalMart has a 1.1% profit margin. The government, by contrast, takes almost 50% of everything produced in the country each year. Kinds seems like it's the GOVERNMENT that's greedy here. eh?

Walmart is an example of Corporate Socialism, NOT free-market Capitalism.

Conservative reports have Stewart’s net worth at over $100mil. Pretty sure his housekeeper is not getting her fair share of the profits. This tweet is not a support of capitalism, it is a callout of Stewart’s hypocrisy and effort to make obvious ideas seem as though he invented them.

Comparing a publicly traded collective corporate entity like Wallmart to capitalism is like comparing Pyrite to real Gold. But you know that. The smear on capitalism was deliberate was it not.

The government "while subsidizing their workers with taxpayer dollars". You can't advocate for welfare and then complain about it.

Yes but also Walmart is publicly traded, so there's nothing stopping you and all their workers from buying up 50.000001% of their shares and changing their policy. The best part is that this would be completely voluntary and nobody gets robbed. Then you can make them reject all subsidies, pay higher wages, and reduce dividends. Put your money where your mouth is.
