It sucks cause it's constant troubleshooting, constant figuring something out that takes precious time away from the only thing I wanna fucking do. It comes with benefits, but stop pretending it's smooth sailing. It just fucking isn't.

If you have troubleshooting issues that "takes precious time away from the only thing I wanna fucking do" in 2026. That is completely a you problem.

You never take Sony out your mouth do you

Please tell me where Sony is written in that post

Bitch everyone knows how you defend shit. Everytime its always linking back to your PlayStation which you kiss like a cuck. Don't sit there and pretend.

99% of the time there are no issues and 1% of the time there are issues. The same goes for consoles. If you have to troubleshoot every game you are doing something wrong.

Literally the word brute-force as terminology in PC gaming exists because sometimes the problems are so unbearable that the only solution is overpriced hardware "brute-forcing" their way into a smoother experience.

90% of the PC experience is download and play. The other 10% is modding, playing older games designed for older hardware/OS and the super odd anti cheats. In 6 years of PC gaming I can count on 1 hand the amount of issues I've had that weren't modding related.

PC gaming is literally point and click these days man.. what the fuck are you torubleshooting lmao

Lmao stop living in 2005. PCs and PC games run just fine nowadays. If your PC has an issue maybe learn how to build a PC first

No computer literacy in the big 26 is crazy, especially when you have google and youtube to help

This is like complaining about owning a house because you have to do home maintenance, like fix leaks, mow the lawn and clean the gutters.

I've been playing on the PC for years without having to do any trouble shooting. Why are you making shit up?

" Guys it so hard 😭 Im just going to stick with console " Console kids:

I can't imagine being this insufferable. No you are not constantly troubleshooting. No you are not constantly trying to figure things out each time you play a game. You install the game and you run it. If you have a good m.2 drive it loads super quick with all the bells and whistles you console riders don't get. Brutal.

I've been gaming on PC for over 25 years and have no idea where you are coming from with this.

It's pretty much smooth sailing unless you are a fucking idiot. I'm not saying you are, but the "it doesn't work on my machine I have to troubleshoot it" days are long past unless you have a toaster as a machine with a virus ridden pirated Windows install.

@hyxkkimxru This is just bullshit lmao, for 99% of games you don’t need to troubleshoot, I’ve played everything from indies to AAA releases and I’ve never spent more than say 5 mins setting up my preferred graphics settings to ensure the best balance of fidelity and framerate

Yeah, I made the switch this generation and love PC gaming, but it’s not a simple plug and play system like console is. If you’re okay with tweaking, it’s well worth it, but if not a Pro, especially at the launch price, is good enough. Idk why it upsets some PC players that people feel this way.

you're just slow, most games are click and play on steam

I have never experienced this with PC gaming and I was a console player up until 10 years ago. I have to assume these issues mostly come down to people trying to play games that are above their specs or the have a custom built pc.

I have both a PS5 and a PC and I can tell you the PC I have spent more than 100 hours just tweaking settings in games settings in the windows etc, in the two years that I have owned a pc it’s superior but it give me headache sometimes If I have to sell one tomorrow pc will go

Bro is stuck in the early 2000's, it's not like that anymore.

You're talking about modding, not gaming

While I totally understand why someone would want to just turn on a console and it work, you’re also way overstating how constant this troubleshooting is. I haven’t had to do any sort of troubleshooting on my gaming PC for the last 6 months. You can prefer console, that’s fine, I prefer PC but it’s pretty disingenuous to make out that every time someone plays a game on PC we’re spending hours troubleshooting why it doesn’t work.

Is there troubleshooting sometimes? Of course. Constantly? Tiny minority. Your bad experience is not indicative to the vast majority of PC gamers. The platform wouldn't continue to grow if that was the case. Exaggerated blanket claims doesn't make a good argument.

PC gaming isn't for everyone, but for some, it is better. I can hand on heart say I spend >99% of my time on PC just gaming. It exists for nothing other than gaming. And that <1% of altering a setting or the extremely rare troubleshoot, is more than worth the pay off. PC gaming and console gamjng both have their pros and cons. What's weird is the number of people from both sides wasting energy constantly putting down the platform they didn't choose...

It IS SMOOTH SAILING. How fucking easy do things need to be for the average person 🤦♂️ Buy a pre-built Turn on Sign in with microsoft or local account Go to browser and download Steam Login into steam account Buy game and play. I guess people seriously have no will or imagination to solve problems, tinker, optimize, explore the system. 2 dimensional simpletons.

This. Thank you.

I don't get why people are defensive about this. It only got worse over the years. Constant shader generation. Stutters. Looking for an optimized config. Troubleshooting. Downloading mods for the most basic shit or just performance. I like my PC, but it can be a pain in the ass.

What is that guy even talking g about. I just crank everything to ultra, slap on DLSS and thats it. If I get less than 60, I go from ultra to very high and boom do e. I haven't do e what he said in forever. Guys delusional

I actually agree with this. Still PC is superior, especially when you take into account the mod community

..... im sorry if you are having issues with optimizing your GPU that automatically does it for you in 99% of cases thats a skill issue beyond my understanding at this point. How dumb do you have to be? Have you tried just not missing with settings you clearly dont know what they do yet? It really is just smooth sailing. And the only major issues I ever had in the past decided with my pc was Steam Labs crashing Helldivers 2 only when I tried to stream it. Brute-forcing isnt even a PC gaming terminology. Its mostly a term used for hacking and gaining entry into things. I've never heard anyone say they had to brute force hardware. Upgrade hardware sure but not brute forcing it. Im working with a 12 year old CPU for crying out loud and only upgraded my GPU a few years back because my old one finally wore out.

Its not that bad, i was a pc noob still am in many standards, i didnt get a dedicated gaming pc until 2021 and its been best decision ive made bought a second rig in 2024 now i have 2 i can emulate old games steam sales are awesome and any tech issues ive solved via youtube/google and learned along the way

I boot my pc up double click the game icon I want to play and then play the game. im sorry you dont know how to use a PC

Wait, I'm genuinely confused, how often are you having to troubleshoot anything? I can't remember the last time I had to trouble shoot any PC game
