Good lord I’m over trust fund owners who just want to sit on their hands.. every time he fails at a FA splurge he stops for two years..

Then there's no point in even caring. Cheap ass team.

Sounds a little arrogant to me.

Just another mediocre season coming! Kendrick NEEDS to sell!

I mean I get what he's trying to say. The Lourdes contract, garbage. Gallen contract, garbage. Probably won't see Ginkel back. Outside of that he's basically saying what the fans want anyways. Play the young dudes on a regular basis. Lawlar, Waldschmidt, and Fernandez.

*cough cough* lockout.

Screw these guys

Maybe a complete rebuild is best. You’re not getting anywhere by staying in the middle.

@jeffmetcalfe That’s good news for the young guys!

As long as the young guys get to play and develop and not some dollar store veteran has-beens and what-nots. This organization needs to develop its young talent instead of trading them away for, seemingly, quick fixes.

You held your own versus a hostile Kendrick.

Cheap ass old man. Don't he know, he can't take it with him. Resign McCann, Soroka, lasagna, and Gink. Give Gabby a two extra year extension. And bring in a stud 1st baseman. If the payroll comes in under, fine. But check all the boxes.

Our baseball franchise is beholden to how well the owners personal investment portfolio does from year to year. We need owners where the team is more of a vanity project for a muti billionaire. Doesn't mean spend like a drunk sailor but this guy has strict budget limits.

Since 2004 Kendrick has made it very clear that this teams payroll will be tied to attendance. Have an issue with the payroll? Show up

Would love to know the payroll amount as compared to revenue. Hockey is awesome because of the salary floor as much as the ceiling, should be a 50 50 split for payroll and owners like they do in hockey, hope it's at least close

This guy is cheap

@timringTV This is good. Let the you guys like Lawlar, Waldy, Troy play

“The payroll will be $0 because baseball will not be played because I can’t compete with private equity teams and I don’t want to sell.”

There’s a real possibility Burns will issue the ‘27 season. His shoulder is worse than people know and has been there for a while.

To be fair, he said the same thing last year and then they spent a bunch of money on Kelly and Gallen. It makes sense that the number will go down with all the expiring contracts, but I don’t see this as a sign that they’re planning a dramatic payroll decrease

Cooked

The funniest part about his comment about "significant" expiring contracts is that the only one higher than 7 figures is Gallen and $12 mil of his $22 mil was deferred for 2032-34. Kendrick is such a cheap-ass loser excuse for a US sports franchise owner.

We really need to get this fn hick the f out of az !! He sounds like one of the bidwells !

With this list of expiring contracts…its not that surprising. Probably all of these guys are gone anyway.

Already making excuses on why we not gonna win

Salary cap/floor is an absolute must @MLB

No matter how beautiful they said, pro sports is still a business. Making money always comes first...

When does winning become a priority?

I can think of one specific player that can be dispatched to lower the payroll

Dude just got a billion dollars to renovate his ballpark

I don’t blame him really. Get a 1b and give these kids a full season and see what happens. Hopefully they’ll be healthy to start the season.

Please sell the team. It’s pathetic!

Why can’t we have nice things? 🙄

I seem to remember him saying the same thing this past year!
