That's right. It should come from the wages and pensions of the BBC employees who lied and deceived. The tax payer shouldn't have to bail out the perpetrators. Tony Hall thinks no one should be accountable.

The BBC are still at it! One sided coverage to suit their agenda! The BBC fully deserves everything that comes its way. I, along with many others, hope this is the final nail in the coffin for the entire organisation. Let's hope Trump teaches them a harsh lesson!

Perhaps if everyone in management at the BBC was told that any money paid out to Trump would come out of the managerial salary budget that would concentrate a few minds.

Correct. The BBC must pay out of its own budget. Start by cutting the exorbitant salaries of talentless presenters. Some reportedly earning £3,000 for a 15 minute episode of a show nobody watches.

Tony Hall says, "The BBC is a basic part of how we define ourselves in this country." He really does live in a bubble.

Pay up

Exactly right. The BBC should not use public funds to pay any compensation. They created the mess, they can pay for it.

The BBC does fk all for Britain, in fact GB News is quickly replacing it especially on the continent because it's discussing the wave of African immigration which is resonating in France, Spain,Portugal,Germany and Belgium. Now it's launched another station in the US. The BBC days are numbered.

I agree. The senior staff responsible for defaming Trump with their fake news should be held personally responsible. They should pay.

Just tell BBC to stop lying BBC fused two separate lines nearly an hour apart, leaving out a key quote where the president told supporters to peacefully and patriotically make their voices heard

Well maybe the BBC shouldn’t have deliberately defamed him then 🤷🏼♀️

Well that’s what happens when you tell fibs 🤷🏻♀️

It's spelt licence, not license. And no it wouldn't. The BBC staff responsible should pay any damages.

In other news.

The BBC has other sources of income……

So the BBC can never be sued? Where does the money come from for redundancies or when staff have a grievance upheld, or for other malpractice? Where does the money come from for overpaid celebrities? Strange that it’s only when it’s Trump that the licence fee becomes sacred.

Nor should we the people be forced by law to pay for something we don't want. Let those that want the BBC pay for it.

The BBC carries public liability insurance cover. As Hall might remember from the Savile compensation claims.

But Tony, once it's defunded and becomes subscription based (which is what we've been asking for years) it won't‼️ What they deliberately did to Trump borders on criminal. It's💯 the reason I stopped paying for a license✅

BBC will tell you the truth 👍🏼

I don’t think Trump cares about what you think is ‘appropriate’ sweetheart…🙄

Lefties: your license fee is going to be paid direct to Donald Trump. The only way to prevent this is to cancel your TV license.

Agreed, the costs and payout should come directly from the pockets and pensions of the current and former leaders of the BBC

Well none of my money is at risk -- License free for four years🥳

Licence fee payers have kept our end of the contract. We shouldn't have to fork out any more money when the BBC have broken the impartiality part of the charter. You'll have to sell off assets to pay Trump. Maybe one of Epstein's pals will give you a few bob for the nonce statue.

"Sir Cliff Richard: BBC pays £2m in final settlement after privacy case"

So the law doesn’t count when it’s the BBC! 🤷♂️ These BBC types r all the same He should maybe arrange a joint march ; free free Palestine, and the B.B. Seeee

BBC money will go to Donald Trump. And deservedly so

Simple - cut the overpaid staff wages, reduce the bloated workforce and cancel all company golden pensions. Fixed
