Casting Hasidic Jews as foreign, criminal, or “not real Americans” is straight out of the antisemitic playbook. This kind of rhetoric fuels harmful stereotypes and discrimination. Falsely blaming New York’s Hasidic population directly contributes to the climate in which the city just reported a 182% YOY spike in antisemitic hate crimes in January. Words matter, and public officials must do better.

”Death to all Jews” trended on X last night. Thousands of people took to the streets of Europe to demand the extermination of the Jews. Men praised Hitler, shamelessly, in front of cameras, in Europe in 2023. Shame on you, Europe. Shame on Germany for saying ”Never Again” only to import grave antisemitism. Shame on Sweden for remaining quiet while the majority of Jews fled Malmö because of Arabic antisemitism. Shame on our politicians for turning many European streets into Middle Eastern streets. Shame on our politicians for technically erasing Europe’s borders and calling everyone who criticizes these policies ”racist” or ”far-right.” Shame on Western media that has gaslit critics and made them believe that they are spiteful and hateful for opposing the Middle Easternization of Western Europe. Shame on you for letting Jews fear for their lives in 2023. Shame on you for tricking real refugees. For having us believe that we fled our Islamist societies. Only to arrive on a continent that is paralyzed by a suffocating political correctness. Political correctness that is paving the way for the future Islamization of Europe and the West. THE WEAPONIZATION OF ANTISEMITISM Theodor Herzl, the father of zionism, believed that antisemitism was a natural response to the jewish question and that jews were solely to blame. He realized that where antisemitism did not exist, there were no jews, and wherever jews went in large numbers, they carried the seeds of antisemitism with them. As a result, he knew antisemitism would never cease to exist. Herzl's appeal to the European jewish bourgeois as to the need for a jewish state fell upon deaf ears. Convincing well-to-do jews to uproot and move to the middle of the desert was an impossible sell. Herzl realized that without a catalyst, support for the creation of a jewish state among World jewry simply wasn't there. Then, he had a revelation. In his diaries, he wrote, “It is essential that the sufferings of jews became worse. This will assist in the realization of our plans. I have an excellent idea. I shall induce anti-semites to liquidate jewish wealth. The anti-semites will assist us, thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of jews. The anti-semites shall be our best friends” Herzl believed that the catalyst needed to generate support for a jewish state could be manufactured through the weaponization of antisemitism. ENTER THE HOLOCAUST. Fast forward 80 years, antisemitism is ingrained in jewish identity. The holocaust is their religion. Their entire existence is defined by their perpetual victimhood, and they have used it to profit and gain power. Antisemitism is the shield they hide behind to commit their crimes and the catalyst they use to further their agenda. They have created multi-billion dollar victim industries, secured power, and passed laws by utilizing their perpetual persecution. They use antisemitism to silence their critics and opposition, and where it does not exist, they create it. Without antisemitism, they would crumble.

Masih Alinejad, a notable #Iranian human rights defender, has posted a video statement to nine million Instagram followers in which she reads from a letter by the jailed Iranian #Bahai woman Mahvash Sabet and adds her own call for unity in diversity in Iran. Masih Alinejad points to the persecution of all Iranian Baha’is and says they are targeted for staying true to their beliefs. But instead of encouraging Baha’is to hide their identities to avoid persecution, she says: “Let us learn from them, to stand firm, and also speak about our own true identity and beliefs.” Watch her full video.

It’s not free speech to incite, to intimidate or to threaten Jewish students simply because they are Jewish. Everybody in this video became Jewish in the last 10 years. I flew to France to make videos about the Jews of France and I found something I did not expect: I found the NEW JEWS OF EUROPE. During WW2, being Jewish in France was a death sentence. Families hid and many were sent to concentration camps and killed. So many families did the only thing they could to survive: they erased themselves. They became atheist, changed their names and buried their identity forever. Or so they thought… For decades their Jewish identity stayed hidden, until this generation! There is a wave in France of these Jews converting back to Judaism, becoming Rabbi’s, and finally reclaiming their heritage. Their grandparents survived by hiding and their grandchildren are choosing to return. I met many of these Jews on my trip. And each one of them said the same thing to me, “I am no longer hiding. That’s their principle, the Russians look for where to exploit a weakness. They must see that there is the wherewithal to stop them everywhere. Therefore, more of our joint production, more resilience, more coordination and efficiency of our common security architecture in Europe.

This is a perfect example of the transition from Chanukah antisemitism to Purim antisemitism. Think of the false statements a few years back about how “Israeli food doesn’t exist.” They lied saying Jewish food developed over centuries living in the Middle East wasn’t ours. Then, when Jews went along and started calling it Mediterranean, that still wasn’t enough to stop the targeting and hate. And that point, it becomes Purim antisemitism. A call for the eradication of Jews, without an escape clause for those who assimilate. A threat that no matter how well we hide, they will find the clues that label us as Jewish. The kids are terrified. Their counselors, only a few years older, have the weight of the world on their shoulders as they try to keep them safe. This isn’t okay. It’s heartbreaking. And more than that, it’s a devestating sign of how much antisemitism has been normalized in Europe. This is a reality for so many Jews every day. It’s one non-Jews would all too often prefer to ignore. Are you just going to stay silent while Jewish kids learn that being themselves is too much of a risk?
