I agree. Cate Blanchett was terrific. She did win a Golden Globe for the best lead actress for her role, though. So there were recognition of greatness .

@NolanAnalyst The fact that Everything everywhere all at once won over this, and Yeoh winning over Blanchet in this movie and Kehuy Quan winning best actor when all he had to do was acting funny in a bizarre comedy movie is why the Oscars don’t mean anything nowadays

Cate delivers an outstanding performance here (among her finest)...but I believe a man might have been better suited for this role

How this excellent film and especially Kate lost to the steaming pile of shit that was Everything Everywhere all at Once is another of countless black eyes for the academy
