It’s a myth?

Dumbest video I've seen in a while, because I haven't seen this video come up in a while. Jerking the trigger is about your trigger finger being connected to the rest of your digits holding the gun. It isn't about how hard you pull the trigger. It's about how pulling the trigger hard activates the rest of the muscles in your arm and that changes the orientation of the firearm, throwing you shot. Anyone can make anything look like a myth when they take it out of context.

The sheriff of Baghdad (shrek). You better have some good credentials if you’re going to come in the comments with your “expertise”

Dude is what 5 feet away? Back up and let’s see that

To all the confused replies, it's a recoil anticipation drill. Not a trigger manipulation drill. It is totally not a myth.

Too close to make a difference. Trigger jerk affects mid to long engagements.

No it’s not a myth. Do that at 10 yards, 20 yards and Hank the trigger. Yes a tight grips help but when you yank the trigger the grip changes.

he's only a couple yards away. go back to 7 or 10 yrds it won't be a myth

Try this at 25 yards

What exactly is the myth being busted here?

This is not what happens when you jerk your finger to pull the trigger. This is a stupid test to try to disprove “the myth”. The muscles holding the gun are in the same hand as the muscles pulling the trigger. That’s what messes up the shot. Not the trigger being slammed.

WOW! @ShawnRyan762 gave one of these to Gavin Newsome. 😂 Nice bro! Now that’s 4D Chess. 😂

Hope everyone there got their money back.

It was never a myth. People get discouraged if you keep calling it a flinch.

So it looks like this is a Retarded Variant of Massad Ayoob's Exemplar Drill. One that misses the point entirely.

lol oh boy here come all the online gun experts again. pretty sure John McPhee has more buddies then everyone in this thread combined..

This is a silly video. I was a firearms instructor and qualified thousands. Trigger pull is an issue. It shows up with a revolver, double-action. Weaker folks, for example, small ladies (right-handed), would see them pulling on the trigger, and the first thing that happens is that the barrel goes up and to the right. This is magnified with distance. Everyone has to find the spot to pull the trigger straight without pushing or pulling(hooking) the trigger.🤷♂️

This mf is some of the toughest mf's out there...check his episode at @joeroganhq

Move back 25 feet

No it’s a P320!

From 2' away it does not make much difference. Push it back to even 10' and lets see the results.

Try that sht with a Harbor Freight ratchet!

A pistol like 3 meters away? Yeah it won't matter. Now start shooting targets 200 meter plus away.

You only did it 3 times😂😂goofy ass instructor try a mag dump and I betchu it’ll jam

it's about body mechanics, not the firearm's mechanics

Snap On ratchet

Isn’t it Amazing how Every Gun Owner is the Foremost Expert on Everything Firearms? They are just an unbearable bunch of C…ts.

It's called physics. Instead of two ready hands, you now have four. Both men's weight, even if briefly, counters the recoil.

Let me demonstrate to you how the principle is a myth by doing something different than the principle in question.

So funny to see comments here from people that don't realise who John McPhee is 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@grok what’s happening in this video

Pre-ignition movement. We have the same problem in archery where you flinch embrace for the bow/firearm going off and you move off target. Your brain won’t allow you to be surprised by an explosion even though you know it’s gonna happen.

GRIP… SIGHT…. TRIGGER… CRUSH THAT GRIP…. FRONT sight on target fast… trigger till fire!!!!

I know nothing about guns...but I know thats a Snap-on 3/8 Drive Ratchet, Model number F80FOD.

Apparently, this instructor forgot that the triggerfinger is connected to the rest of the shooters body 😆 Correction: it is Not a myth 😜

MF is 2 feet away. Try that at 25 - 50 feet.
