It’s been interesting to see more first person centric Xbox games get 3rd Person Modes • Avowed • The Outer Worlds 2 • Grounded All Obsidian games, there’s definitely a want for more 3rd Person games/options. Do you want more 3rd person modes in games? From XboxSeriesX

Most games have an FOV slider now. In Avowed when you went 3rd person the camera felt too far away… But for a more traditional 3rd person viewing angle Change the Field of View to 75. Perfect From XboxSeriesX

Mafia The Old Country really has been filling a void for me. More linear style 3rd person games have been needed. Not everything HAS to be Open World with 100 hours of content From XboxSeriesX

No more Uncharted games or TLOU games? Well TombRaider is having 2 games and will carry the helm of over the shoulder, 3rd person, top quality action adventure game. In the meantime this is a clip from Ryse of The TombRaider running on that Rog Xbox Ally X 💚 🎮 😏 👌🏾

It wasn’t in The Outer Worlds 2 marketing much so a lot of people still don’t know… You can switch from 3rd Person, 1st, 3rd Far on the fly just by holding the View/Back on the controller. Game changer for certain situations From XboxSeriesX

What Cyberpunk 2077 would have looked like if it was a 3rd person POV game! Would you have wanted a 3rd person perspective? Or was the 1st person the right choice? Poll in the comments with some interesting options...👇

The Next First Party Xbox Game The Outer Worlds 2 Launches in ONE DAY! For people that don’t know, You can play the whole game in 3rd person if you want. I have a feeling a lot of people will be playing this RPG that way.

Avowed has this thing I would love to see in more Role Playing Games… Access to the games Lore during a Conversation alongside the dialogue history. Really, really useful while playing. From XboxSeriesX

Something I really like about Avowed Is the platforming, it’s always great to have a Role Playing Game with this stuff. It plays both good in 1st and 3rd person too From XboxSeriesX

I never felt that Cyberpunk 2077 needed a 3rd person mode, playing in first person made Night City more immersive as you experience everything thru the eyes of V

Zach Cregger explains that his visual approach for ‘RESIDENT EVIL’ is inspired by how people now grow up with video games just as much as movies. “There’s something that’s ingrained in people now about this 3rd person following camera & 1st person where you learn the space as the character does.”

I feel like Xbox ‘s Obsidian Avowed was underrated. The Combat alone was a big draw for me. Regions weren’t too big but were dense. One of Two Obsidian Role Playing Games in 2025 From XboxSeriesX
