It's difficult not to anthropomorphize Sea Otters when they behave and look like this. We enjoyed this mum and pup at close quarters in Morro bay. The pups seem to be very high maintenance!

Driving back this evening and we saw a dead mum in the road 😢 as we stopped the car to check, these tiny pups ran out to us, at least one is blind. Heartbreaking doesn’t come close to what we have seen, it’s gone 10pm and after a 6am start, we are still working. Poor pups 😢

It's easy to spend money, especially when it’s not yours. It’s very difficult to be the guy who says “we can’t afford Disney World.” Republicans have to be the party of fiscal conservatives and control, and right now, we’re not.

Mf's be having the most to say till we put them in the same situations we get in now they look silly. All that "they should've did this and that" goes out the window when tension is high and fast.

LA is slowly becoming the new Detroit Joe Rogan: "Nobody has to be there anymore, and they make it intolerable. They make you feel like you have to be there. So they punish you with taxes, punish you with regulations, and make everything very difficult to conduct business. Very difficult to be safe. Very difficult to just feel normal. And then they get surprised when people leave. You guys f-ed this place sideways. And you want to keep doing it."

Ok, This is weird! 👀 KFC has a product called beyond fried chicken, plant based chicken nuggets. They seem very tough, and not very plant based to me when he opens up a nugget! Where did they find this guy to review it?! They both seem like they were grown in a lab to me! 😅

Public spaces like this should be maintained and enjoyed by residents, not left to fall apart. When the DA is in government we will protect public open spaces and make sure they are utilised to the full benefit of the community! #BelieveInJoburg #Zille4Mayor

The Mithrandir Pack captured on camera 21 hours ago at 10 a.m. yesterday morning. We visited the camera and swapped the SD card just a few hours later...only a few hours behind the pack! Mithrandir, as you can see in this video, is comprised of the breeding male and female, and their 3 living pups. The Mithrandir Pack had 5 pups this spring (we tagged all 5 pups), meaning they have had a pretty high pup survival rate thus far. For perspective, the typical pack in our area raises ~1.3-1.4 pups to adulthood on average. One interesting thing to notice is the difference in body size of the pups. Specifically, one pup is much smaller than the others. We suspect this is because that pup is a female and the others are males (females are generally a fair bit smaller than males in our area). Either way, pretty neat to think we were only a few hours behind the pack.

Sea otters are so entertaining to watch. We saw several spinning like this, keeping both front and back paws (flippers?) dry. Presumably to not lose heat through their limbs? So cool!

Wolf pups start developing personalities from a young age, which, in part, helps pups to quickly form a hierarchy of sorts amongst their littermates. This small pup, with a bold and perhaps reckless streak, was letting us know who the boss was even though it was just a month old (volume up)! Typically, when we go in to count pups at dens, all the pups scurry into the den and remain together there as far back in the den as they can get. This is the only instance we can recall of a pup walking out to the edge of the den to stand there and growl at us. In other words, this behavior is uncommon. Why is this behavior rare? We suspect it is because pups that come out of the den to 'fend off' predators or danger probably would be killed pretty readily if predators visited the den. The purpose of the den is to provide protection/shelter should danger approach. We do not know what this pup's fate was. We think that 2 or 3 pups from this litter of 4 survived so good decent change he was one of the pups who made it but we won’t ever really know.
