It’s finally here! YouTube is officially on Apple Vision Pro.

Does it use apple's video player? Like where we can click the mountain buttons at the top left and it goes super big/cinematic?

Unfortunately, not. Hopefully they add it in an update soon.

Wait What🔥🔥🔥🔥⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

While connected to MacBook? How the heck do u do that!!

You toggle on developer mode. Dm me if you want more info. I have a YouTube vid on this

I watched, thanks! And then watched another of your videos.. and then another video.. and then.. lol

This has to be a result of the Gemini deal, right? I can't imagine the Apple exec that had to tell Google that the deal isn't happening until they commit to a YouTube app launch on Vision Pro.

@Scobleizer Brb, on my way to the Apple Store 😂

Only took them two years!

It was just a matter of time

I want one! @apple 🕶️

En voilà une bonne nouvelle !!

@MKBHD

Why did it take so long? Might actually buy one of these now.

Things gradually, slowly but surely, heating up for Apple Vision - great to see! ᯅ 🔥

whaaaatttttt

Wonder why it's only now available? Seems like such a basic, essential app that would've been preloaded

It is amazing!!! 360 videos are so clear compared to other headsets

Amazing 👍🏻

Ya! What apps do you run for diff immersive backgrounds?

That was inside a 360 degree video. It’s pretty epic.

How did you do that? Specific app?

Thank you! I knew it was possible but I could find a step by step guide

@Scobleizer

This looks awesome!!!

You can't beat the experience of 360 videos, the HD quality is next level 🥰

VR is the future

Holy shit! Finally!

🖤

Really?? I can't find it...

Thanks!!!!

You’re welcome! I’m sure it’ll be prominently featured in the AppStore soon.

What kind of 3-D videos are playable from the app, if any?

That’s a big moment watching YouTube inside Vision Pro is going to change how immersive content feels

Woah! I've been hoping to have this for two years now!

Same here! Happy YouTube day!

I've been in it for about 10 minutes so far and have a couple of thoughts. Pros - YouTube premium rocks. I've been a very happy premium user for years and not having ads and this whole library of content on the Vision Pro already feels awesome!

Cons - 1. The video controls feel far worse than Apple's default controls in AVPlayer. 2. The VR180 content was only streaming up to 2160s60 for me. I know the same video on GalaxyXR is at 4320s60. My hunch (just speculation) is they aren't using MV-HEVC for these videos.

You can actually stream up to 4320s60. Just need to make sure you click on a video that features this resolution. @hughhoufilm has some good ones.

@hughhoufilm After reading more, it sounds like the highest resolution is only supported on the M5 Vision Pro. I’m still rocking my M2, so this is a big bummer.

Wow can’t believe it didn’t already have this

crazy it took so long. but :)

Aaaaa 😍

This feels like a new ear for Apple and Google collaboration.

I’m so not in the loop on this product but that’s really embarrassing. You mean to tell me, they’re just not getting a YouTube App…isn’t this shit $3,500?

Bruh, is this real? If so picking mine back up. Add the whole SUITE!

Pick it back up. It’s real.
