I'm a 50 year old Canadian who never once in my life thought to own firearms, until my own Prime Minister began referring to me and my family as science-denying fringe minority white nationalists with unacceptable views who are 'taking up space'. Then I gunned up.

You can't get a gun for self defense. Getting a gun in Canada is basically just asking for trouble from the government. They would rather some invader stabs you to death on the subway so they can fill their jails while simultaneously spreading fear and population controls itself.

The day before I took my firearms safety training & certification course the Tumbler Ridge School Shooting happened. That was the sign I'm on the right path. Fuck THEIR feelings, MY protection comes FIRST and FOREMOST. I BEG more Canadians to do the same, it's not too hard!

Whats annoying is I applied for pal, was accepted, dis RPAL while i was waiting. Was abke to do one online now I need to go redo another photo so i can submit via snail mail. So dumb.

Growing up I was used to seeing full gun racks on the wall—it was normal. We were not criminals, just hunters and protectors. Then all the anti-gun propaganda hit, and I was adamant: never have one in my house! 🤪 But NOW, with our justice system more worried about criminals’ feelings and immigration status than accountability and public safety, I’ve changed my mind. Anyone ready to take on the responsibility of owning and using a gun responsibly is important. Globally, studies across many countries find civilian gun ownership doesn’t strongly correlate with overall homicide rates—factors like poverty, inequality, and enforcement are bigger drivers.  Responsible, trained, licensed owners who respect the rules help keep societies safe. Time to prioritize real justice, accountability, and personal responsibility.

Completed my PAL course one year ago and still have not received it.

TBH we need to go the other way, then a gun ban or pistol ban, we need to be able to defend our homes with a firearm... I know he say they don't get it for self defence, but we should be able to, we have much stricter gun laws here and who can have the ability to be able to even buy a firearm(most times idk how some of these new "Canada's" get it ). We can make it another 20 class hours and 20 range hours with tests so we can have the able to concealed carry. Police cant seem to protect us from new "Canadians" rising violent tendency so we should be able to defend ourselves. Even if we don't go as far as concealed carry, atleast a new class and level of license for home defence and keeping a loaded firm for it should be implemented, even if its just shotgun and rocksalt, Id rather the standard be lethal and used only when life is threaded vs a deterrent mechanism, but either works.
